I've just had my 2010 octavia vrs serviced They mentioned I have a very rusty rear spring and recommended to have it replaced because they can break/snap i've just been out to have a look at the spring and there is no rust On the spring top or bottom Anyway is it common for Octavias rear springs to Break/snap ?

At front of engine on the block behind dipstick there is a black plastic joint bolted to the block with two pipes going to it.it is quite hard to see it from the front of the engine. It is not covered in a lot of oil just slightly damp and shiny when I put a torch on it. Is this anything to worry about is this normal ? What is it is it breather pipes for engine ? (2010 cr170 vrs).

I had my cam belt and waterpump replaced last year at a Skoda dealer I asked the same question about the aux belt and they charge me £17 for the belt no extra labour

Yeah same here had two letters all gone quiet now meant to start recall from January Perhaps VW don't need to do it anymore I wonder if they have found a legal clause to get out of recalling thousands of cars.

Which independent are you using ?I need to find one in Kent soon as I am going to start changing my oil every six months to.
