Just been sent this pic from a guy I know who does vinyl wrapping,it's one of the reps cars at his work and it has been done like this for advertising/demo purposes,it definately stands out and gets it noticed, it's the only pic I have and unfortunately it's a phone pic
Centre dash trims
22 February 2013 - 14:17
Had a bit of faux suede material left over as i got more than i needed to do my arm rest so i could look at wrapping some other things if I wanted too and i decided to wrap the centre dash piece, gear lever surround and the panel i made to replace my ash tray as I thought it would be a bit different than using vinyl
Here's a few pics

Think it turned out ok

Illuminated dash vents
08 February 2013 - 23:11
I had a number of green led's kicking about for a while and didn't really have a use for them so had a think about what i could use them for so decided to look at illuminating the vent adjusters but couldn't illuminate the adjuster itself so decided to bond the led's in behind the adjusters to backlight them, probably not to everyones taste but i felt like doing something a bit different, colour aint a perfect match but then neither are my gauges so i'll get by
here's a couple of pics, not the best quality but you get the idea

Seat arosa
08 January 2013 - 07:16
Here's a little thread for the wife's seat arosa:)
She's had it about 8 years now but it's a 2002 1.0mpi so not exactly a beast but it's good for what she wants and took a while to find as she wanted this specific colour but found it in Walsall
Ran it standard for a few weeks then added some alloys, they were 16" fox with 195/40s
Check out that arch gap lol

Then a bit later some coilovers, tints, stubby mirrors, different steering wheel, gearknob and some stereo gear and i also changed the wheel colour to ford mercury grey

Then smoothed the bumpers

Then I got her some Schmidt th lines that a friend was selling, there 7 & 8.5 x 15 with 165/50 fronts and 185/45 rears, I also had the centres colour coded

Then had the wheel centres painted black and lowered a bit more

And that's how it currently is apart from its on some mesh 15" winter wheels for the time been but she does keep mentioning wanting something bigger so I don't know how much longer she'll have it which is a shame cos I think it's great but not ideal for 2 kids lol and as she's not really interested in cars then whatever she wants next will no doubt stay as the sensible family car.

Mk2 octy mirrors on mk1 octy (finally on)
08 April 2012 - 16:28
Well after running around for a while with odd mirrors on i have finally got around to doing the drivers side and both are fitted up and working but they did need a bit of work to get them to fit so if you like them then don't go logging onto ebay and buy some then complain they dont fit as phisically they are very different and mount completely different and wiring isnt plug and play but they can be made to fit as i have done but they are by no means perfect as i'm no expert in body repair and if need be i will eventually get a friend of mine to do a better job of them when he fills over the wing repeater holes but they will do for now but they are wired up so movement, heating, indicators and puddle lights are all functional
anyway heres some pics, comments welcome good or bad
