  1. Would that cause the maxidot to indicate my FNS foglight bulb needed replacing? Ah! I think I see what you're saying - they are used whether or not I actively switch them on?
  2. I haven't posted here for ages, but as this amazing group was instrumental in my buying my Yeti, I' delighted to report..... Yesterday I had my five-year MOT and the car passed with flying colours! Given all the warnings about diesels and low mileage I'm delighted to report 23247 miles covered, almost all of them in suburban south London, with an annual 200-300 mile stretch to UK holiday destinations, and only one 'problem'. My near-side fog light showed up on the maxidot a few weeks ago as needing replacement - ironic really, as I don't think I have ever used them!! SWMBO has taken a shine to the car over the years, and is likely to take it on in place of her elderly Zafira whilst I *might* consider a Karoq in the new year. Will never be the same though! All the best, Tony
  3. Thanks, Lee01 - might have to pop out and see if they're still there now - but it's raining, and surely a Skoda main dealer wouldn't........ okay will check in the morning! Had the spare from my previous Passat taken during a service at a main dealer................. much worse - was discovered at an MOT soon after! PB
  4. ...... to this Forum, as discovering it, and reading the Yeti section, was the clincher when deciding to purchase my Yeti a couple of years ago. I was grateful then, and am grateful now. Had my second year service today at 9939 miles (I know, I know.... wrong engine and all that some would say!), and have to say I haven't had a single problem whatsoever. Hope that's not tempting fate!! It's been huge fun to drive, and the occasional old age need to give an unsuspecting, and previously tailgating, Beemer a run for its money from the lights has unfailingly worked. Always encourage them to stay close afterwards so they know they've been seen-off by a Skoda! They don't see it coming, do they . Other wise, I drive quite sedately.. honest ! Have adopted the Brisky wave where ever I've been, and had a number of friendly ones in return, but, funnily enough, I've never ever seen another Brisky sticker.... anywhere. Mine's on the top corner of the driver's side windscreen for all to see - where's yours?!!! The only bit of bling I have added to the car over the time I've owned it has been a set of Skoda logo dust caps on the tyres. That said, I have a set of chrome fog light trims somewhere - must fit them sometime! When I took it in into my dealer this morning I was advised it would have the 'VW problem' sorted as part of the routine, as I have one of the engines associated with the difficulty. When I collected it, it hadn't been done, and I was informed I should now await a letter. Ho hum............... PB
  5. 127.9 in ASDA. MD showing range of 10 miles: filled up with 54.3 litres. PB
  6. If bigger brother = Yeti II, then yes. I was surprised to have it suggested that the current Yeti may only be getting another FL though? It will be a bit long in the tooth by 2018, and the engines will certainly have to be updated (IMHO). I'm not sure a mere FL (which, to me, implies a change in external appearance only) will satisfy the current owners in four years time? PB
  7. My dealer suggested last week that the Yeti would get another FL when bigger brother is launched in the UK in 2018. PB
  8. Nearly a year old (how time flies when you're having fun!) and had never seen another Petrol Blue Yeti............ until today!! In the grounds of Woldingham School, Surrey - anyone here? PB
  9. On page 45 of the 23rd April 'May Special' edition of Auto Express (which I bought to leave lying casually opened on the coffee table at the Driver Power winner's page when guests come round ) the 'Yeti+2' is shown for 2015. I have a fear that whatever the MkII (if that is what this indicates) brings it will be bigger, which will not really suit my needs at all. I've only had my Yeti six months or so, and I'm already looking ahead to the next - shocking, isn't it. Never had a car like that before!! PB
  10. Have to agree with all that has been said about the colour's unceasing ability to 'change'. I love it, as does SWMBO. It wasn't my first choice of blue, but the blue I originally wanted (don't ask what it was!) was discontinued. Certainly about as far from a base blue as you can get! PB
  11. After six months I only discovered the elasticated band across the top of each of the front door wells yesterday - another nice little touch of which there are so many! My favourite such 'touch' is still the parking ticket holder  Unlucky enough to have a puncture today, fortunately by seeing the screw-head in the centre of the tread long before it deflated - found the locking wheel nut eventually, and yet another cubbyhole alongside the spare wheel! PB
  12. Great colour! Wait until the sun comes out - very different then!!! Enjoy!! PB
  13. +1 One of the biggest attractions is the compact size of the current model, together with all the fun it incorporates, and a whole lot more! PB
  14. I wrote that fairly soon after I'd first had the car, Johann - perhaps I turned the Bluetooth on the 'phone on whilst I was on the move (!), and then tried to connect it from the steering wheel. Whatever I did, Maxidot certainly told me I couldn't connect whilst I was on the move! Like Jonceebee, my Samsung connects automatically as soon as I get in.... provided Bluetooth on the 'phone is on!
  15. It's the youngsters in their hot hatches that I enjoy surprising - especially if they manage to get beside me again and realise that I'm not quite in their age-range PB
