  1. I just fitted some 'Continental WinterContact TS 850 205/55 R16 91H' on 16 inch (5 x 112.00 x 57.00 ET: 48.00) steel rims, bought from mytyres.co.uk. The 48 offset allows the use of snow chains if needed according to the car manual, unlike a regular 46 offset. I also got some 'Skoda Nordic' hub covers to go on them. I've fitted them to my Octavia SE 4x4 SE, which has the raised ride height and rough road protection package. You can see what it looks like here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153336675004972&comment_id=10153339240319972
  2. Though note that the built in AUX USB port delivers quite a low current compared to the 12V point used with a USB adapter, and thus takes longer to charge a phone. I think it delivers less than 500mA, where as most 12V USB adapters can deliver 2000mA. (Most phones when used with suitable 'fast charge', as often provide with the phone, will report they are connected to 'AC' and make use of the higher current available).
  3. I have the Thule 755 feet on my Octavia Estate III. No issue at all.
  4. I have a Brodit Active phone mount that I'd like to route the cable from behind the centre console, either to the usb port at the bottom or perhaps to the fuse box for power depending on which cable I choose. I imagine the cable from my phone mount entering around the vent trim. Does anyone have any pictures, or can describe how to remove the bolero stereo fascia from the Octavia mk3? Similarly for the vents at the top of the console?

  7. Which boot floor mats are suitable and fit on top of the variable boot floor in the estate?
  8. Fantastic, thanks for all the info, I now understand all lighting functions, and realise if I want high beam control with Bi-Xenons I need to order both of the above options.
  9. And how does 'AFS' relate to 'light assistant' and 'intelligent light assistant with high beam control'?
  10. The brochure for the Octavia lists the following two options: - Bi-Xenon, AFS and LED daytime running lights, cornering fog lights & light assistant (Includes rain sensor). £1190 - Intelligent light assistant with high beam control (Includes rain sensor). £440 What is the relationship between the two? Does the first include all the functions of the second? Or if high beam control is desired with bi-xenon must both be ordered?
