Rear Washer not Working Properly
Figment replied to nbramwel's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I'm having a similar issue with the rear washer (fronts work fine) A few months ago the fluid would only dribble out of the rear jets. Cleared them with a needle and all worked fine again. Now they've stopped spraying again although I can hear the pump working. Tried clearing jets with needle and also with a thin wire. Nothing. Removed jet assembly (they are clear when blowing into them), and tested washers with the jets disconnected and there's no fluid coming out of the connector pipe. Pushed a length of wire into the connector as far as it would go (about 4 inches) with no joy so I'm guessing there must be a blockage / air-lock somewhere between the pump and where it connects to the rear wiper motor or could it be something more complicated? Where do I start looking? How does the tube detach from the back of the wiper motor? Would a burst of compressed air down the connector thejets attach to help? -
Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Figment replied to nopowerman's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
@varooom Could I impose upon you for help with a firmware upgrade please? Image attached with current version. Thanks in advance. -
I'm thinking of retrofitting a tailgate release button (pictured) on the right of the gear lever in a 2010 Superb II elegance. Does anyone know if the plug/wiring is already present (and where would I find it), or would I need a separate loom? Thanks in advance.

Reverse lights - left/right swapped
Figment replied to Figment's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Hi As I suspected the left/right wires had been switched when the wiring around the twindoor was repaired. Was a simple task to switch them back, and now if a bulb is out, maxidot reports the side correctly. More recently I've had a number of warning lights saying to check rear left sidelight, and each time no fault was found. I resorted to swapping out all of the W5W bulbs with new ones and so far I've not had the fault again -
The same bulbs are in front and rear ceiling, front and rear footwells, bottoms of the doors and the entry (puddle) lights in the bottom of the mirrors. The one in the glovebox is a C3W and the ones above the vanity mirrors are C5W

Reverse lights - left/right swapped
Figment replied to Figment's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
The twindoor wiring was repaired about 18 months ago, I wonder if it's on the way out again, or whether two wires were switched during the repair -
Today I had a reverse light bulb blow. Maxidot told me to check the one on the right, but it was the one on the left that had blown. I replaced the failed bulb which cleared the fault. Then I removed the right hand bulb to test, and sure enough, maxidot told me to check the one on the left. How do I rectify this, so that maxidot reports the correct bulb in future? Is it simply a case of removing the trim panel from inside the boot lid and swapping the wiring, or something that needs coding?

I used these : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-12-LED-smd-Canbus-T10-501-W5W-HIGH-POWER-Xenon-WHITE-5730-TWO-SIDED-SIDELIGHT-/272130893270? Any CANBUS friendly W5W LEDs should work.

@CombatWombat Your suggestion was spot on! Removed the 'C' pillar trim Removed two screws at top of the rigid plastic section, plus the one securing the bag hook Pulled rigid plastic away far enough to see down behind the carpet, and there was the absent connector Pulled the connector through and reassembled Both lights now working (YAY!) and as suggested in you other reply with a little patience and determination refitting the rigid plastic section it now fits flush. Thank you.

@CombatWombat Many thanks, this looks like the info I needed, but seems a lot of hassle just to get that bit of wire out. Maybe one for a rainy day! Oh and in my efforts over the weekend I managed to break one of the clips (the big one just in front of the latching mechanism) on the hard plastic parcel-shelf-pivot trim, so now it doesn't stay click into place and there's a gap between trim and the keep for the latch. @silver1011 Excuse me if I'm missing something, but those pictures appear to be related to fixing the wiring that runs down the twindoor, whereas the light I'm referring to is in the bottom of the hard plastic parcel-shelf-pivot trim that runs from the rear seats to the back of the boot.

Hi Othen, Thanks for this info. The sticker on top of the unit says it's a 3T0 035 680 A The Version info screen says it's a 3T0 035 680 B HW Version H55 SW Version 3974 Map Version 7551 Sorry to be a pain, but I want to make sure I get the right one, so any chance of a link to a suitable disc? (although I'd prefer the last option)

Hi I eventually got around to investigating why one of my luggage compartment (boot!) lights isn't working on my Twindoor, and discovered it's not even connected! I cannot see or feel the connector for it inside the housing, which leads me to ask how the cable is routed, and what parts of the car I need to pull apart (and how) to get access to it. If it's relevant, it's the offside lamp that's not connected. Thanks in advance
