  1. I’m considering getting a data SIM for Connect; any suggestions?
  2. 1 - Yes 2 - Yes 3 - Yes - plenty of power, good fuel economy.
  3. I have just traded in my first Skoda, after 30,000 trouble-free miles for exactly the same: Octavia III 4x4 (albeit now an SEL rather than an SE), which suggests that I am was very satisfied with my first Skoda. In fact, I think that it is the first time that I have ever replaced one car with the same model. Previous cars include Mercs, BMWs, Freelander, SAAB, etc.
  4. My 2.0l diesel 4x4 is at about 9300 miles, but the car tells me that it needs an oil change, now, rather than at the 10,000 miles indicated by the dealer sticker. It also says that the next service is due in 9400 miles. Is the on-board service indicator condition based like in a Merc, or pre-set to a specific interval? If the latter, why is it preset to less than the stated 10,000 miles?
  5. The handover form at Westgate Skoda in Grimsby had a section on it about the DPF, hence the salesman covered it with me.
  6. Thus far, also impressed with their after-sales. I've had no problems with the car, but was called to bring the car in for a free winter safety-check and mini valet just before Christmas. Whilst it was in, I was given a Fabia for the day, complete with fuel. When I got my car back, it looked just like new, again, inside and out. Total cost? Nothing. Each to his or her own, but my experience with Westgate Skoda couldn't be better.
  7. Aah....that may well be the cause, then! I'll try on our PC instead of my Mac, and see where that gets me!
  8. Many thanks, I've done all of that, several times, over the last six weeks or so, and they haven't appeared, as yet! Perhaps I'll give them time....!
  9. No teething troubles with mine, which passed 1000 miles, yesterday, on the way back from Blackpool. Mine is averaging 48mpg on the display (last fuel fill was 47.6mpg calculated from the real figures), and I achieved 53mpg on the way to Blackpool, yesterday. I miss cruise and sat-nav (having bought from UK stock, they weren't options for me). My only issue is my inability to get the radio logos to display - far from being a deal-breaker!
  10. I've seen one, briefly, on the streets of Grimsby; looked mighty fine!
  11. It's not a major issue, but I'm still unable to get logos on the radio presets on the Bolero in my SE. I've followed all of the advice on all of the various posts, and the official VW site, but still have no logos. The menu allows me to go through the process, but nothing appears when returning to the radio. Is anyone else having the same problem, or is there another trick beyond the official site that I'm missing out?
  12. I think that the green looks wonderful. If I'd ordered a VRS, I'd have ordered a green one.
  13. Thought that those of you waiting for your car to arrive in Grimsby might appreciate this shot of a boat arriving in Grimsby Docks, as seen in an art exhibition in the fair town of Grimsby, this morning!
