  1. Thanks guys, I'll try fresh wire see how it's goes, cheers Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk
  2. Hi all, Sorry haven't been on here in a good while. Well my Octy failed its NCT (MOT in Ireland) last week. It needs a nearside wishbone which is no problem but it also failed on the rear lights. The rear fog light is illuminating (all be it very slightly) under braking! I've located the earthing point for the lights and gave it a good clean. It had some corrosion on it but the problem is still there! Has anyone come across this before? Where does one go from here? Brake switch maybe? Cheers Keith
  3. Possibly a problem wit the control module the temp sensor sends it's information to vcds will tell all Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks Extreme3dSent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  5. Sorry Tech1e it's the steering control module, changed it as I had a high beam problem that it was causing Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  6. I swapped the steering wheel angle sensor module for a different one (same part no's etc) the old one had problems, new one is 100% except the cruise control now doesn't operate. Can I get the car coded to recognise the Cruise Control or am I without CC now!? Thanks
  7. Any members on here with Vcds in around the greater Dublin (Ireland) area need an airbag fault cleared, don't wanna go the stealers if I can avoid it Cheers Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  8. Ah right cool, think I did by accident, I'll get it plugged in thanks Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  9. Hi all, I swapped out the steering angle sensor module as previous one was acting up got a salvaged part which was 100% (matching part number) so all went well until I start up and now I've an airbag fault! I know the airbag is ok as it didn't show a fault previously, so how do I rectify this? Can I disconnect the battery to clear to car's memory or is it a plug in job? Cheers Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks guys, was hoping the skoda airbag module would fit the vw wheel, I'll have a look online for the bits I need Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  11. If the wheel in non multi function why would I need a different controller / loom etc? Shame all the same, in my naivety I thought it might be a simple swap thinking they'd have all common parts Cheers for the reply anyway Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  12. Hi all, Looking at the possibility of chaging the Steering Wheel in my Mk2 Octy vRS to a Flat Bottom one. My question is will the VW Golf Mk5 GTI wheel fit and Will it take the Octy's airbag? (they look similar) wanna swap non MFSW to non MFSW Cheers
  13. Cheers lads worked a treat, I'm such a dunce! Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  14. Hi guys, I know there's multiple threads here on the topic but this one's a little strange, I've a pre FL Octy 2008 registration and I just installed allegedly canbus friendly led number plate lights, surprise surprise they don't work but there's no dash warning light! I'm a little confused, anyone shed any light (pardon the pun) on this!? Cheers Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  15. Any idea what they cost to replace? Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
