  1. Roadside assistance guy said it is a wheel bearing. Gonna take it to garage tomorrow. Anyone any idea what I can expect to pay to have it replaced? Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah I agree currently waiting on roadside assistance decided to let them take a look as I have a long drive home and want to get an opinion as to whether I'm going to damage car. Noise got louder today. Almost sounds like something is blowing in the wind but nothing is loose. Gets worse with exceleration and us barely audible at around town speed. 3. Does that mean the shocks need replacing and could that be the noise I'm hearing? Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  4. Hi I'm getting a funny noise from my 2010 skoda superb 1.9 greenline when I lift of the throttle. Sound's like it might be coming from exhaust but I also know my dmf is on the way out. Noise kinda makes car sound like an airplane. I had a look around the car to see if there was anything loose and I came across an issue with rear shock gaiters I think they're called. Anyone shed any light on either of my problems, would be appreciated. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  5. Took a bit of fiddling about with a plastic tool I used to remove a phone screen but all told 30 mins and no damage done at all.
  6. Just thought I'd post up that my passenger window switch on the driver side master control stopped working the other day. The passenger window was still working when using passenger switch. I took the switch unit out and dismantled the switch itself, was clear that corrosion was the issue on the contacts, scraped off reassembled and refitted working perfectly, might be of some help to someone, saved me €50
  7. Yeah it's just it's the car I'm looking for it's a main dealer and its the lowest mileage I can find, also I'd be traveling from ireland so I kind of want to buy from a recognised dealer as it would maybe stupidly give me a bit more confidence of buying a good car. I had a look at the parts, kit is available with water pump over here for €150, how long roughly would it take so I could estimate labour costs if I was to have it done here.
  8. Is there anything else that I should be looking at doing at this mileage, the garage insist they won't do the belt as its not due until 80k which I think is fairly mean as its at 75k now
  9. Had a look on gsf and I think maybe they are the same thing?
  10. Ok thanks a lot and does this engine have a timing belt too
  11. Hi I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I'm looking at buying a 2010 superb 1.9 tdi pd s and I'm in ned of some advice. The car has 75k miles on it and has had 4 services and will be serviced by dealer before purchase but I want to know what other work I should insist on being done, with regards to cambelt timing belt etc? If they aren't due now when would they be due as I'm reluctant to buy a car that needs lots of money spend on it soon after purchase. Thanks a million for your help in advance
