  1. This seems good value! I payed about the same for a second hand one. Don't think the pressure plate or flywheel can wear out, cg motorsport skimmed mine for £50 and checked it over they are very helpful!
  2. Helix smf and clutch is brilliant but chatter is very loud. if you want a quiet car don't by a helix
  3. Anybody got or know of a front mount intercooler and pipe work for sale?
  4. Sorted mine out. Took the turbo back off and sent it to turbo centre to set up after many hours of messing. had it mapped at 175bhp before the stop screw and actuator was set so need to get it mapped again now it is set up right. The clutch was also slipping at this power so have put a helix smf and clutch in it.
  5. No probs mate, what power is everyone else getting from these turbos?
  6. Mine was the gt1749vc you can just bolt it on after clocking it but setting the screw and actuator is a lot of hassle. if I knew what I know now about the turbo I would of just taken it to someone to set it up, bolt it on and then get it mapped in that order. Wasted a lot of time trying to set it up / searching for info on how to set it up. Xman should advise people to take the turbos to a specialist to set up off the car, or take all the turbos he buys to get set up and sell them for more money. When I had the turbo on the car I phoned round a few custom mapping companies and was told the stop screw should be set when the turbo is assembled
  7. No mate that was the mistake I made, I fitted it myself and took the car to get mapped, when mapping they said the stop screw couldn't be set accurately on the car so to take it back off and get it set up which I did. Deffinately do not just fit it when you get it, take it to someone who knows there turbos to set the stop screw. The only downfall with these is they don't already come set up, when you buy a turbo you expect to bolt it straight on the car but not the case with these. Turbo centre in livesedge set mine up and checked it over for about £50 I used them because they are right near my work Andy there is really helpful and knows his stuff. Would recommend sending it there then it will be set up right. The turbo does need clocking when you get it, if you put your turbo that came off your car next to the Xman one you will see the compressor housings are in different possitions easy job to move around
  8. I have one fitted after my standard one snapped its shaft. they do not come set up, stop screw / actuator. so is best taking to a specialist to get done off the car as soon as you get it. Turbo centre set mine up and are very helpful. Mine Needs map tweaking as is very smokey, but got 183bhp and 308 ftlb everything else standard before it was set up properly. Haven't had the map changed yet now it is set up due to clutch slipping so have bought a helix smf kit to go in. For the money the turbo is good
  9. Hi not posted on here before but was wondering if anyone could help me as my turbo on my asz fabia has decided to lose the nut off the shaft of compressor wheel and destroy itself! I have therefore upgraded to a hybrid turbo which was bought from here off xman750 which is a garrett gt1749v with gt1749vc internals. My broken turbo which has come off is a kkk turbo. I was wondering if anyone could give me somewhere to start on the stop screw and actuator settings as I do not think setting them to the same length as the kkk would work. I have got vagcom to take logs and fine tune once the turbo is fitted just wanted a rough starting point while the new turbo is off. Any help will be greatly appreciated cheers.
  10. Turbo arrived today thanks for the speedy delivery, excellent service!
  11. How much for both the oil feed and return lines mate, will be removing my turbo to see what the problem is in the next day or two
  12. I believe my turbo has just gone bang, where abouts are you if I was to come and collect one, cheers ross
  13. How much for both the wheels please mate?
