  1. so had my cambelt done about 10'000 miles ago and have notice the car taking longer then normal now its cold to start. done some reading and it could well be the timing slightly out. I have vcds and here are my readings for 004 torrsion value and 015 fuel consumption just want to know if it looks a miss to anyone in the know. 004 Torsion value 0.35 015 Fuel consumption 1.84 on idle
  2. Drive belt tensioner for the auxiliary belt.
  3. Cheers just need to find out about getting them posted, what it will cost and any hidden extra VAT and TAX. tempted to take a road trip over there, its 10 hour drive from calais and could always visit nurburgring on way or way back. Any 1 fancy it, slightly far fetched maybe but be an awesome road trip.
  4. Hi has any 1 ever dealt with these or know the ins and outs of ordering from germany. been looking for this kit for a while but the price has always put me off, but with these its something like £422 including delivery. my car is a 08 vrs diesel will I need the 50mm or 55mm strut I'm also guessing i'll require the 1s with a heavier axle load. 5. ok so its 2 am and i'm doing some reading. read that fitting either audi TT or s3 front lower arms is a good starting point. I know with the TT it changes camber settings but s3 are identical but are lighter as there made from aluminium instead of pressed steel and come with stiffer bushes. does any 1 have any part numbers. I'm struggling to find anything.
  6. have a look here http://www.superskoda.com/octavia-ii/rear-bumpers/
  7. HI all, I've recently upgraded my RARB to a whiteline and currently have it set to medium. now i wanna improve front end steering response. I have brand new good year eagle F1 all round and its been align but front end doesn't feel responsive enough. I had rear wish bone mounts replace but only with oem parts last year. would replacing them with solid 1 improve handling on front end alone or will I require more.
  8. Hi yea I swapped it, you need the flaps it helps with fuel mixture at idle. Easy swap but do need to either replace or use washers when fitting lower bolts as the are a lot longer. Also need different brackets if you wanna use engine cover.
  9. Hi all, a few weeks back I replaced my inlet manifold from the plastic type to the metal 1 as my flaps had worn and oil was leaking. removed and gave it a really good clean all nice and oil free. fitted the inlet and cars drives really good. now ive had a nosey since and where the head block meets the block underneath at the front on the engine its oily again. now I can see its not from the inlet as that sits a fair bit above it and is bone dry. is it possible under boost the head gasket has blown. I do lose a little oil from time to time and it is a little smoky on 1st start. its a PD170 on an 08 reg, any ideas? also if I was to replace head gasket is there anything I should consider replacing at same time or should look out for. I know its a few days job. its done 82000 and cambelt kit with waterpump was fitted at 65000. cheers
  10. My MK2 vrs PD170 08 keeps showing the bulb symbol on screen, left hand rear tailight will come on like normal but then the 2 led bulbs will go off. did a scan with vcds and this is what I have. 11. Hi quick one, I have a 2008 vrs PD170 BMN with the plastic inlet manifold and it's weeping oil on one side. So considering upgrading for the metal 1 as I've heard it's more reliable. Is this the part number 03G129713H Also it'll be second hand so is it worth replacing the internals, flaps and motor. Cheers
  12. Quick one, I'm interested in upgrading the inlet manifold on my 2008 vrs PD170 BMN. Mines plastic and has started weeping on one side and have heard an upgrade isn't a bad option. Now am I right in thinking this is the part I require 03G129713H. Also seeing as I'll be purchasing a secondhand 1 is it worth replacing the internals, flaps and motor. Cheers
  13. Is it normal for the turbo hose that leads in to the egr to swell when stationary and revved.or has it become weak overtime. It's a pd170 BMN thats been mapped. Fancy upgrading hose and ideas for the best place to purchase.
