  1. Hi guys. I see that matt black looks good but has anyone used gloss finish instead? Would it look too 'shiny'? Thinking of giving it a go on my black vrs!
  2. Here ya go mate http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=330945541298
  3. This is the picture I saw that made me realise I needed to do something with the bonnet release or the grill..!! I haven't done anything yet but will probably be having a look this weekend! I see you have the honeycomb in you're bumper as well. Did you buy a replacement or DIY?
  4. Thank you very much for you're help and advice guys, much appreciated! Hopefully be putting it on this weekend!
  5. Yea I really don't want to cut the grill but not sure how I'm going to open the bonnet if I cut the release down..!! I'll try and get some pics up when it's on, I've just had eyebrows sprayed aswel..!
  6. Nope, no instructions. Got it from eBay, it's an FK automotive.! Oh ok, maybe I'll have a look when I get it back. Just not quite sure how it'll work! Has anyone done or does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to change the inner on the bumper to the honeycomb to match the grill?
  7. Yea was thinking about cutting a hole but I'm a bit worried that it mite look a little odd!! And will cutting the lever help? I still need to be able to pull it don't I? Please excuse my ignorance..!! ;-)
  8. Hey guys Bought a new de badged honeycomb grille for my vrs and just had it sprayed. About to get it back and it's just dawned on me, how do I open the bonnet when it's on..!? The release comes through the old grill but won't now...! Any ideas...?? :-(
  9. EGR removed?? Blimey, 600 from a tanks alrite!! I guess you do more m/way driving?
  10. What's a panel filter.!? Sorry, I'm not very technical!
  11. £549 that's not too bad, just gotta talk the mrs round now!! Would love to get that done...! On a slightly different subject, what are the ideas on an induction kit for a diesel!? Read a little bit and as always there's so many opinions..!
  12. Oh ok, that's worth knowing! It's an extra few hundred quid to remove DPF isn't it? Hmmm. Lots to think about!
  13. Ha, like it. That's very true though! Will it affect the MOT or road tax without the DPF? They do seem a bit of a pain, had a sensor go on mine already, only had it since March!
  14. I do mostly 30 min runs or less but do 2-2 1/2 hr runs once a month ish. So the round town mpg improvement is good to know! That's pretty good out of the petrol Stu08!! I've heard a lot of good things about Shark on here but I'm down south do it's a bit far. They do have an installer not far though, hpfly they're rep is as good! Is the extra power quite noticeable?
  15. Very true Mison, hadn't thought about it that way! Would be intrigued to see how much quicker it is once done!
