I didn't, just the engine, bit of a vcds virgin atm, have used palmers scan tools until recently when I was gave a cable for vcds, I'll hook it back up soon as I can get some time and check other modules n have a play about see if that throws anything up. I'll keep yous posted, hope it turns out to be something simple nothing worse than not knowing :/

Indeed, just a good job the road wasn't busy today! cruise control could be a possibility I suppose, I'll see what I can find if anything and hope it was a one off. Its gonna bug me now though until I know what caused it

for the scan I used pcmscan but no codes then vcds lite but still nothing. I have seen a few stories about dodgy brake switches causing random faults like think I'll check that out soon as I can

Did a scan as soon as I got back home but no faults showing or even pending, that's what's baffled me? I've had the tc light on before but that turned out to be a dodgy maf

Hi all, just encountered my first problem after two years of vrs ownership and its baffled me tbh and any help would be greatly appreciated :-) So, I'm driving down the motorway at around 75 with cruise control on then traction and epc light came on the clocks, then I notice I was slowing down so when I hit the throttle nothing happened?? The engine didn't cut out just sat on tickover, so I Coasted over to the hard shoulder and switched motor off, had a quick check under the bonnet and couldn't see anything immediately a miss. Jumped back in and she started fine, no lights and throttle had come back, now it's bugging the crap out of me! Any one had the same issue or heard of this before??

Cheers lads, seems there's no solid proof as to wether it makes any difference or not like, asked at a few parts suppliers aswell n they rekon it should be orite as air can still pass through but could create more pressure in engine and possibly blow a seal... That would be painful! Luv this octy so suppose it better to be safe than sorry. Not going to risk it, think I'll just get some new ones made up to fit. [emoji106] Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk

Hi Guys, just looking for some advice i have done the sai, n112 & n249 removal and no codes as of yet have just received my oil catch can with 15mm inlet/outlet of ebay and just wondering if it would cause any damage reducing pipe from 19mm to 15mm rather than messing around trying to fit bigger inlet/outlet to catch can?? Any help or comment is, as always appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for that :-) and also looks like the previous owner had the problem with rear lights aswell as they are new wires and are connected with spade connectors, shame they didnt fix the actual problem with the washer pipe but hey ho to the scrap yards i go, and just another quick one, what audi model is more likely to have the same unit? Would i be right to assume its the a4 from roughly same year? New to vag from jap so not that clued up tbh lol

So guys my octy has them installed but have never worked, neither has the rear window washer so decided to have a look, only to find the rear washer pipe has split just near the parking sensor control unit and as a result has drenched the unit and is now feckd. The problem is i cant seem to find this part anywhere, any ideas? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.. cheers

Decent mod, did this yesterday with less holes drilled and does seem to respond better at top end rev range and slightly lower intake temps, checked using the torque pro android app.. bring on the frosty mornings

Im planning on wrapping the octy after christmas and for £129 for 10m roll seems rude not to rather than going for a respray, was wondering if anyone has had any experience with diy car wrapping, any advice or techniques will be greatly appreciated :-)

newbie here, thinking of changing standard dv

Yeah think im going to go for the k&n panel filter and just leave standard bosch dv on for now, will get a forge 007p when my wallet permits :-) seems a popular choice and looks the part too -

Cheers very helpfull, think ill keep the standard airbox and replace the filter for k&n and just replace dv with "forge style" 007p or similar for budget, seems there is loads of people with different combinations so will see what works best :-) thanks for reply -

Might have been covered alredy but here goes.... so have seen a couple on ebay and looking at a dual port dv so I can have atmospheric and recirculation to keep me and engine management happy, Have a budget of around £50 to spend is this being optimistic or can it be done? just not sure of what sort of quality I will get at this price. any ideas or advice on what to look for or stay away from? cheers mera
