  1. Lousy phone camera and even worse photographer, but...
  2. Thanks! I had a chance to fulfill my dream to fully spec a new car, so it was now or never. 8 months feels like nothing. What a car... Actually it's 2 cars - you can cruise it like a limo or just put a little weight on the right foot and it transforms completely. Everything works like a dream and it's wonderful to drive. The acc and lane assist take some time to get used to, but so far they've worked flawlessly.
  3. Finally!!! After 8 months and 2 days I picked up my new VRS! My wife took some pictures with her phone. More will follow with a proper camera / photographer. 4. Picked up my MY15 VRS yesterday - Flat bottomed steering wheel with the VRS badge.
  5. I know that .m4a files downloaded from itunes store a while back won't play. They have some sort of built-in protection. Maybe this is the case?
  6. BW27. Dealer called - will pick up my new car in a week, 25/7. Finally!!! That's 8 months and 2 days since I ordered it... 7. Thanks Gabbo - really nice of you! I'm playing it safe and will rip in a lower bitrate to avoid any compatibility issues. It was a bit overkill to rip that high bitrate anyway. Thanks anyway
  8. Thanks for replies. They have helped me decide which way to go about this. I am going to rip my collection in .m4a True VBR ~256 (Quality Target 110). It seems this format is ok to handle for the car system and it sounds great at home.
  9. Yup, non-lossy files are best quality and I could convert those to whatever format I want. But I have some trouble sending those big files through my home-WiFi to my Sonos system. And I really would like to have only one setup of files to use at home and in my car.
  10. I am getting different answers from different sources when reading on the internet, so... Which of the following formats are playable from the SD card through the car stereo (I will have the Columbus unit if that makes a difference). 1. .mp3 CBR =320 kbit/s 2. .mp3 VBR ~256 kbit/s 3. .m4a CBR =320 kbit/s 4. .m4a VBR ~256 kbit/s 5. .m4a TVBR ~350 kbit/s How is the track length display affected when playing VBR-files? Wrong track length or "VBR" displayed? The thing is, I will be re-ripping my huge collection of music CDs and .m4a TVBR sounds best on my Sonos home system, but I'm not sure that format will work on the SD card since it's above the 320 kbit/s limit. My second choice would be .m4a VBR. I don't want to rip two versions of each file or convert. I could wait a few weeks more and find out for myself, but I want to get started asap. :sun:
  11. Ordered mine in november and I had a call too. Car was built this week and is on its way to Sweden.
  12. Sent a mail to my dealer to confirm my order. I have waited since november for the car. After all this time I don't want to get it discovering options are missing. Getting more and more nervous that something will go wrong the closer I get to delivery date...
  13. So... It's the different countries trying to speed up delivery times and not the Skoda factory temporarily removing certain options? In that case my vRS should be safe until its BW27... Hopefully!
