All, I am going to be changing out some JOM's that are currently on the car I've purchased. Can anyone give me the part numbers/recommendations to replace when doing so I have the rear Ibiza FR bump stops, car is fully polybushed and drop links where replaced 2 months ago Just need to know what's best going forward Car is being dropped 55mm all round Many thanks

Hello, I'm wracking my brain about my fabia I have purchased... My alarm keeps going off all hours of the day, no matter what temp or weather. I have recently changed out the rear drivers side door mech due to failing. Still the alarm goes off.. I then checked the boot to see if the light stays on, surprise surprise it goes out.. No leaks either from washer motor.. I think went around the car to see what doors are registered as opened on the dash, which the rear passanger one doesn't.. However no issues with the locks.. So I have now pulled the fuse for the sieran to stop my neighbours complaining... Has anyone else had this on going battle?? And managed to work it out via VCDS? Any help would be great. Daniel

I know there are 100's of Alarm issue threads out there but my confusion is just getting worse by reading them. I recently had an issue with my Rear O/S door mech that failed and required the door being ripped apart and replaced. I then find out that my alarm has been going off non-stop since owning it from 12o'clock at night! and when it rains. I have read all the threads and looked at the rear boot light, which goes out once the boot is shut, I have tried all the doors and it seems that the Rear NS Door is not being recognised as being opened on the Dash. How do I fix this issue whilst on this goose chase? Seems that car I looked forward to owning has just been a thorn in my side so far! I live in Aylesbury if anyone is around to help (not a mechanic so not the best at working on cars). many thanks, Daniel

Such a shame, as was just scrolling through the parts to see what can be done to one of these cars, as currently selling my Mk5 GTi, to go diesel.. if I sell my car quick, hopefully this will still be around! as im from Aylesbury too!! sorry to hog your thread, but what are these like to drive, any advice when buying a Fabia VRs?

Thanks for the reply, I need a diesel :( nothing wrong with them, but the trip to work is costing a bomb currently!! Its a shame the disk upgrade is not possible on a Monte Carlo.. as they seem perfect with a little re-map for what I require.

Hello, I am currently in the market for a Fabia Mk2, trading my MK5 GTI in at least :( but much needed for my daily commute as anything beats the 18MPG I get. I am looking into getting a Fabia Monte Carlo 1.6 TDI, and looking into things that potentially can make it unique and my own. I.e Rear Brake conversions. I know this car will not be as powerful as my current, but family like is more important to me know after signing a mortgage deal. Hopefully you are all friendly people and will be much help with my next car.
