Cool perhaps theale next Saturday?
-
I can't feel any saw toothing but the tyres are new and it's tricky to tell. I think I have the results, will upload tomorrow. Thanks

Does everyone run at the recommended 2.1 front and 2.2 rear?
-
Mine at quiet up to almost exactly 70mph when they get noisy, take it up to 90 and it gets a 'bit' quieter, just really annoying the noise is at 70 which I am'supposed' to be doing.

225 40 r18 Dunlop sport maxx on the rear (supposed to be quiet) and super cheaps on the front which ironically are fine.

Additionally, is there a vRS owner in my area against whom I could compare or help me diagnose this? There would be a beer in it

Hi all I have an ongoing battle with road noise on my Octavia estate vRS 60 plate. I have now paid for a hunter alignment, I couldn't change the tyres at the time as they were almost new but the noise continued (which I accept), after a long journey this weekend (800 miles) the noise is worse grrr! Has anyone had any luck with soundproofing to loose this noise? I don't want to fork another 200 replacing almost new tyres only to discover the alignment hasn't sorted it. Please help a despondent vRS owner!! J

I think I will be booking in

225 40 R18 Dunlop sport maxx on the rear, I didn't want to go down the route of expensive boots as this problem has always returned on both Octavia estates I have had. The car has done 41k miles but the rears have done around 2k Max. When I got the car last December the rears were badly worn on the inside. I had a local garage do a full 4 wheel alignment but the noise came back although I don't believe they were using a hunter system. Car is the CD vRS diesel estate. Noise comes in almost dead on 70mph and gets worse the longer I drive for, that may be temp related or just me!! Nickguzzi. I will come over to you to get this sorted once and for all but any idea of cost? Thanks

I have read many many posts about tire roar from the rears,I got new tires with a low dB level and had four wheel alignment, they were fine for a few hundred miles and started to roar again. I am thinking of selling the car, has anyone actually managed to solve the problem and if so how?? Diving me crazy!! Thanks

I am booked in with angel remaps for my vRS CR 170. Now I am not a mechanical person but I do like to drive hard (not off the line), I am concerned something big is going to blow following the remap, it would only take it to 210bhp which I assume is OK as it's less than the other tuners, my car is in good nick and is at 34k miles but I am still left wondering about the odds?? Can anyone allay my fears?? Many thanks J

Thanks mate I have fired off an email to them. I am not exactly awash with cash at the moment so wanted to try and keep in the sub. £300 region but most of the big name remaps seem to be£400 plus. Cheers everyone for the advice Sent from my RM-875_eu_euro1_211 using Tapatalk

Thinking about a remap and was recommended this chap who is local to us and very cheap. What do you guys think about the claims made on the site? Should I be alarmed?? http://www.the-remap-man.co.uk/ Thanks Sent from my RM-875_eu_euro1_211 using Tapatalk
