  1. Admittedly the radio can be removed. But the car is currently in a garage a bit of a distance away. But I would have thought her insurance should cover anything I have declared on my insurance. Especially as the list is not exactly huge. Without the radio, we're talking about 750 quid to replace what has been damaged. I realise I may not get the rrp of each mod, but surely they should acknowledge them and compensate accordingly?
  2. So last week I had a lady in a Ford B Max kindly park her car in my boot. I was static on a slip road (the traffic in front was also static) and she ran into me at 40-50 mph. As you can imagine, I'm a little sore and the car is a write off. My car has had a remap, a detachable tow bar fitted and an aftermarket headunit fitted in the last 6 months by myself. Now I understand my car is not heavily modified, but they are all declared on my insurance. My question is... Should her insurance company pay for these as well? Because in my eyes her insurance is meant to put me in the same position I was in before. And the money they're offering me atm is not enough to cover fitting the equivelant mods onto a new car. Anyone had any similar experiences or can anyone help me?
  3. Thanks for the comments. I must admit, it was your thread that made me go for carista. I've just signed up to the Beta version, so I'll see whether I can get it working later.
  4. Just a quick post to endorse Carista. For £15 you can do some decent things with it. I now have the needle sweep, one click unlock and windows open and close on remote. The lock when moving feature doesn't seem to be working though. Does anyone have experience in how to sort this?
  5. So, since my last post, I've had a towbar fitted (I know, I'm getting old, but I needed it for a camping trailer). I went with a removable type, so it's not all bad. Although I am wondering how much I can get away with lowering the car now it's fitted? Anyone had theirs lowered with a towbar yet? I've also debadged the rear and added a bit more stickerbombing behind the number plate and the filler cap. Here's a quick photo update of what I've done. Towbar not fitted: Towbar fitted: Next I'm going to tart up the trailer we've bought, It's an old thing, but I want it to match the cars colours. Also, I need a quiet weekend to do some serious paint correction. There's some swirls that need attending to. Any product recommendations are appreciated. Let us know what you think.
  6. I'm quite gutted you've beaten me to this. I've enquired to Voodoo Vinyls about a DC themed vinyl in a similar style a couple of weeks ago. I want to redo the bits on my Mk2 in DC. Looks awesome fella!!
  7. I recently fitted an aftermarket head unit and my MDI is now redundant. It may be different with your head unit, but I doubt it.
  8. Penistone would be about halfway I reckon?
  9. Like I say, I don't mind posting if you cover that £16.99 I just thought it would be a bit steep for some £35 bars.
  10. Not often, but I don't mind meeting halfway?
  11. Although I said I would rather not post, I've just found a quote from Paisley Freight for £15.99 if this is any help?
