  1. I have a MY19 now and I noticed this problem immediately when it was new. I used a hair dryer to soften the plastic and I applied some pressure with a rag to reshape the plastic. Be careful not to overheat the plastic and leave the texture of the rag on the plastic like me. I don't really care about how it looks now, problem solved. 😀
  2. The moment when my left temperature motor failed in my previous MY14 O3: https://youtu.be/Y3dvCeBMlmQ It fell apart. I tried to put it together and it kind of worked again but with weird noises and very instable temperature in the cabin. These are the last days of the motor before replacing: https://youtu.be/6xnnS4cANSk You can hear the abnormal noise from 0:45. By the way sometimes I can hear similar 'HDD noise' in my current MY19 when waiting at the red light and not listening music. It's very quiet, but yeah, when I turn the A/C off it disappears.
  3. Yep, the big rear rubber bushes (torsion beam suspension) can dry out and make creaking noises. The noise is very similar to the well known front bushing noise. I had this with my previous O3. Dealer lubricated them during service and the ugly noise disappeared.
  4. This is how it works with KESSY. Door not (yet) opened = ‘key in’ Door opened = ‘key removed’
  5. Probably the wiring is the same for the Octavia and the seat/backrest temperatures are NOT adjustable separately… https://forum.obdeleven.com/thread/2517/heated-seats-heat-control (bottom of the page)
  6. Find someone with VCDS or similar tool. Go to 09 Central Electronics / Security Access: 31347 / Adaptations. You can change these settings. Stufe 1-3-5 is for driver's seat level 1-2-3. I didn't bother changing level 2 & 3 because I never use them. The seat heats up quickly enough (for me) even with these settings. And I can leave it on for the whole winter. The seat gets just as 'hot' as you can warm it up with your body (with no heating). You can also consider switching on the 'memory function" so you don't need to activate the seat heating manually on every start: Module 08 / Adaptations channel IDE01067-Retention of driver's seat heater level adapted from active for 10 minutes to active
  7. I successfully enabled the developer menu with VCDS.
  8. S12345 also worked for me with VCDS on a MIB2.5 Bolero
  9. Don’t drive your car until you get it fixed. You’ll need a garage with diagnostic tools anyway. The new sensor needs calibrating and it also worth checking the DPF (soot) level. One of my stupid colleague kept driving his car with this problem and after a few 100 kms the whole engine bay was full of soot, the heat shield was partially burnt, etc. Not a good idea!
  10. Not 100% sure that it’s a clogged DPF. Mine was about 75% full when my sensor melted. Yes, the DPF needed cleaning but only 60k kms later. Maybe the sensor has an invisible hole or crack where the soot can escape. In my case it was only a failed sensor.

  12. Yep, sometimes you don't get the warning message on the dash, probably because the battery dies so quickly. The same thing happened to my colleague while I got the warning message as normal. In our experience the CR2025 lasts 1-1.5 year while the higher capacity CR2032 is good for 1.5-2 years.
  13. Probably a faulty button as mentioned. My colleagues had the same problem with a Superb and a Kodiaq.
