So the question is how do i increase the ride height by a bit front and back and is it expensive to do so and is it safe?

If you can afford it go for a lappy with a ssd drive instead of mechanical hdd. The difference is night and day performance wise. If you do not need all the storage then a 128gb ssd will be fine. I stuck my old ssd in me daughters sony vaio and everything is so much snappier. It boots in a fraction of the time and everything is faster. I will not have a computer without an ssd now as a boot drive. Reliability wise the ssd is an old crucial m4 never missed a beat.

My dpf does this about every month thereabouts. I give it 10 mins at 50 in forth and it goes away. Fabia Elegance 1.6tdi.
