Well its finally time to say good buy to the car and brand. Skoda UK still havent fixed the car, so the car has been officially rejected, Its a shame as i was so seduced by the power of the VRS, combined with the space for lugging family stuff around. The thought they had fixed it and put over 400 miles on the clock in testing, but during the drive back to the dealer from Milton keynes the problem reappeared. I have reordered a new company car Audi A4 Avant SE Technik. Ther are delivering it next friday 17/10. Yep car due to arrive in less than 2 weeks from order date 06/10. Only area i compromised on to get the delivery date was the wheels, but an aftermarket set will do nicely. It will be quite a while before i order a skoda again after this experience. Thanks Briskodians for all the help and comments. I will keep a watch on here as im just nosey!

Well between myself and the lease company badgering Skoda UK, they have until this Friday to issue a confirmed date for return or replacement of the car otherwise the lease company will issue a rejection and I will be ordering a new car...!

Still stumped lots more head scratching and now entering a period of randomly replacing parts until the car works again! - Entering Week 7 Listers Skoda Coventry and Skoda UK - Not sure who is most inept at repairing Skoda vehicles

Weld the doors shut, just get in an out dukes of hazard style! -
Skoda UK are sending a tech specialist to the dealership on Monday to scratch there heads for them!

Hi It def wasn't pressure sensor as dealer did try that as SKODA suggested that as one of the earlier attempts as its quite a common fault, I will post more info when I get to talk to dealer and get my car back!

OK so after waiting 7 months for my car I had 8 glorious days of driving (4 actually as I was away with work for 4 days) before it developed a fairly serious problem and changed into Limp home mode! Since then it has been in the dealers garage with them scratching their head for 4 weeks. The symptoms apart from limp home mode were, flashing glow plug light on dash and then ECU light on dash. Up until this point no indication of problem. The dealer, in conjunction with advice from Skoda, has changed all sensors relating to the fault, they have replaced the Turbo (twice??) and finally replaced something to do with the Valves. (not sure yet as only going on a very short voicemail.) This final change was to take the part from another Octavia and put it into mine and vica versa. This actually transferred the problem to the donor car and solved the issue in the VRS. Now that they have isolated the problem they will replace the part and investigate the cause of the faulty part. This has been a really slow process as it involves a day of head scratching by the dealer, a phone call to Skoda tech services to then take up to 48hrs to respond, then try what Skoda say and then repeat! (Dealership have been great at keeping me updated.) I should get my car back in the next few days.

The car is here!!!! woo hoo!   Piccies to follow! So after waiting for just over 7 months I finally have my hands on my VRS TDI Combi. Car looks and feels excellent. Certainly a high probability of me collecting a few points on my license with the acceleration . And after putting only 15miles on the clock its now parked at the airport for a few days whilst I away with work. Ordered 18th December - Delivered 29th July

A transporter driver friend of mine based in Czech has noticed a significant increase, since May, in the amount of Octavia rolling off the line, so maybe production problems should be easing somewhat now! VRS TDI Combi - Ordered 18th December, delivery confirmed for 29th July.
