+1 for the Scirocco. these would look fantastic.

Mine are even worse with big patches of white. I have a 2012 combi. I have tried all sorts of cleaners and nothing seems to work. If anyone has had any success please post and let me know what they have used.

Superb brakes not superb at all!
andyP11 replied to kevin defty's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I find Brakes on Superb take some getting used to. I moved from a BMW 3 series to the superb and there is a big difference. Just takes some getting used to and having to apply more pressure than in the BMW. I don't think there is an issue just different. -
Check he has done the job properly. I had a faulty fog light coming on and dealer quoted £1200 for new panel. Luckily car was still under warranty so Skoda repaired. seller might try to avoid paying full cost of replacement with repair. Noticed since new replacement the MFD has a slight pink tinge to it.

Hi All My superb Combi is 3 years and two months old and has just come back from the dealers having had its DGS service at 40,000 miles. The dealer has sent an advise that there is a fault with the dash. The front fog light illuminates when the footbrake warning light is on. This he says is a dash panel fault and requires a new dash panel at a cost of £1214.87. Obviously the car is just out of its three year warranty. Anyone else had a fault like this? seems a lot of money for a small fault you can hardly notice. it does not effect driving the car it is just a faulty light. Any ideas on a heaper fix or should I go to Skoda as the car is just over 3 years old? Alternatively I could just ignore the fault.

Just had some Goodyear efficient grip pro fitted. Very quiet tyre and £84 each fitted from F1 autocentres including balancing. Not a bad price for a reasonable tyre.

DSG slipping with hard acceleration
andyP11 replied to andyP11's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Thanks Supurbia, it's booked in for a service in a couple of weeks so I will get them to check the oil. -
Sorry for another question on DSG but I have noticed that when I accelerate hard the revs jump up quickly to 2500-3000 but the gearbox does not instantly react. It seems to slip whilst looking for a lower gear then takes off. Can be a bit worrying when you are trying to overtake someone. Is this normal. I have had the car 6 months and never noticed before. Obviously its cold at the moment can this have an effect. I notice it on journey to work which is only 5 miles so does not have a great chance to warm up.

What does this warning noise mean on a Skoda superb?
andyP11 replied to dochsm's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Is it low tempreture warning. I,e, ice warning on roads -
Had a 140 DSG for 6 months with mixed driving I am getting 42 mpg. Maxi dot says 47-48 but fill to fill works out at 42 mpg. Not bad as I have an estate and regularly drive with 4 people and 2 dogs. Best I have had is around 52 on a long motorway journey

Tyres are just a generic brand that were on the car when I bought it. Plenty of tread on them. I notice the vibration through the steering wheel. Just a slight vibration. Tyre pressures are spot on. I guess it could be the low profiles?

New Superb Owner - Few Questions for owners
andyP11 replied to chrisrad's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I find my maxi dot to be around 5% out on fuel consumption. I have monitored ny car from fill to fill on the last three tanks and it is returning around 43mpg combined as against the maxi dot 45. This is for a DSG so quite happy with that figure. -
Hi I have a superb estate which seems to feel vibration around 70-80 MPH. I have had the wheels balanced and this has not cured it. It is not a major vibration but just enough to be noticed. Is this normal, I thought it may be the tyres (225 40 R18) does anyone else feel every vibration of the road on these size tyres. I have not long had the car and it is fitted with just generic tyres so I was considering changing them to something a bit better.

New Superb Company Car Ordered
andyP11 replied to Andy1974's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
You will love the superb. The ride is fantastic and the space is unbeatable. The only thing I would say is I used to have a Saab 9-3 and I have found nothing to compare with the seats in that. By far the best of any car. The superb seats are great but the Saabs were ...superb!!! -
Great colour great car. Not sure about the badges on the doors. I personally would remove them but some people would probably disagree.
