  1. Called in to the dealers today, and spectrum and peterposh have cracked it. The techs were stumped as to what it was, but when we found the same thing on the showroom car they suggested it was probably an antivibration thing. Apparently there are lots of bits of packing hidden away in nooks and crannies once you start digging. I've put it back in...
  2. Hello everyone. New here, but have found this forum very helpful in getting to know the ins and outs of my Superb over the last few months - thank you. I've found something odd in my o/s front wing. It looked like a bin bag poking out of the hole in the inner wing in front of the washer reservoir, but when I pulled it out it is an ~ 10 cm cube of foam in a black plastic bag (see photos). The bag is sealed at both ends, and has holes to allow the air out when the foam is compressed, so looks "official", but it seems to me it could hold moisture and be a rust trap. It was wedged tight between the wing and the top of the plastic wheel arch liner (approximately underneath the rearmost wing bolt is in the photo). Has anyone seen anything like this before? I wondered whether it was something accidentally left behind from manufacture? I also worried that it was a bodge to stop something rattling, but everything is secure and nothing rattles with it out. The car only had 30 miles on it when we picked it up. so not long to have picked up a dodgy history.
  3. Just signed up, but have found this forum invaluable in the course of buying my Superb at the end of last year, and figuring out how all its bells and whistles work since then! So thank you, and hello.
