Can anyone advise where the censor is and tell me if I can access it from above rather than needing a ramp?

I have just purchased a 170 dsg superb combi, I put hill start assist on it as I tow a caravan and it's essential in my opinion for that reason however, when I reverse up my steep drive, the system keeps engaging and I wondered if I could manually turn it off?

Great read for me as I too am making the change from a sorento to the 4x4 superb, was concerned that it may be useless in testing conditions when towing but glad to hear it raised a few eyebrows!!

I don't know where mines being made but just know it's taking 14 week to make it. It's only been a week and sooooooo impatient.

I've read the the elegance has start stop technology but it mentions activating the clutch, that being said, does it work on the DSG version?

I have just ordered a new Skoda superb estate 170 4x4 DSG and wondered if anyone had fitted a tuning box? I do actually tow from time to time and so the extra torque would be really useful there but in general I just want it to go like the preverbal doo doo off a shovel and when I've calmed down then perhaps think of the economy gains. Anyone gone down this route??

Please share any gems you've found as just ordered one myself and there is very little info on the 'bells and whistles' as you put it.

I had the same model but it had the sports suspension, I absolutely loved it and achieved 60mpg on a good run when trying to be as frugal as possible with the acceleration pedal. I loved everything about it and it broke my heart when some old dear turned in front of me one day smashing me into a wall. I sadly had it written off(no surprise) and couldn't get the same spec with the insurance money. 2 cars later and I finally made it back into the Skoda family. Happy days !!
