  1. Mine was installed by the company selling the amp but the dealer arranged it. Installation is fine. The wiring loom is designed for the car so it all fits nicely Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
  2. I've had this installed and I think its excellent. I did not do the installation ( dealer did it) though but I believe its pretty basic and comes with all required adaptors etc. My amp sits under passenger seat. Power is from the cars normal wiring ie. There is no cable from battery to sub. There is software you can download to a laptop and change amp eq settings etc via USB cable. I wanted the canton but didn't manage to get it in the end. Has this installed and dealer said it sounded better than the canton. I don't know but it ups the power and adds a bigger sub than what the canton gives you. And the sub fits nicely into the side compartment in the boot (I've got a wagon). Overall I'm very happy with it. Gives good bass and very adjustable. Would recommend as an upgrade over standard system. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
  3. I had my rear shocks replaced at 8000kms. Quite a noticeable knocking noise from the rear. No issues since replacement but yes the car has noisy suspension Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
  4. Mine came on at 8500kms. Oil change warning then check oil warning. It was low but dealer sorted it out. I was surprised though. Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
  5. So I finally took my estate in and they replaced both rear shocks. Rattle/knocking gone.
  6. I've got a 2014 mk3 VRS and a 2010 mk2 facelift VRS. To me the mk2 feels like the sportier car. The seats are firmer, and I think the DSG is more aggressive with its gear changes. It just seems to change gears quicker. The exhaust is definitely sportier sounding with a low thrum. My mk3 has softer seats, and the throttle response seems very spongy compared to the mk2. The mk3 is pretty quick, but not hugely quicker than the mk2. The mk3 is super quiet but the rear suspension is a total fail. The mk2 is firm and can crash over bumps but the mk3 is just noisy and clunky and is a major disappointment for me. The infotainment in the mk3 is a step up of course and the dash layout/interior is good, but not better than the mk2. I really think that Skoda went cheap on the mk3 eg. the stereo. The mk2 is a great car and the mk3 should have been even better, but I think Skoda just didn't deliver. To be honest I enjoy driving the mk2 as much as the mk3. For me Skoda gets a "could have tried harder" mark for the mk3.
  7. Yes i had this installed. Amp went under the passenger seat. Sub sits on its side in side pocket where canton sub would go. IMO the system is excellent and well worth it.
  8. I had this installed by the dealer and he said it sounded better than the canton. I'm very happy with it. Sub fits nicely in left side boot compartment and gives very good bass.
  9. I was getting 6.5l/100kms coming back to Auckland from Rotorua but thats with cruise control sitting at 100kms. Driving to work and back its more like 11l/100kms plus but thats all stop start bs. Seats still looking good but ive only just passed 4000kms. Vrs tsi by the way.
  10. My wagon has rear suspension knock. Most noticeable over small bumps at slow speeds. Its the biggest annoyance for me. Ive been told by the dealer that the wagon has an issue which causes a knock so will see if the noise is gone when the fix is done. IMHO my mark 3 vrs has worse suspension noise than my mark 2 vrs
  11. The issue has to be the large hatch vibrating like a speaker causing low frequency noise. Its a problem that has happened on other cars. Opening the hatch slightly does not allow pressure to escape rather it prevents the hatch from vibrating. Some hatches have it and some dont probably because the cars that have the boom have a hatch that is not adequately supported on all edges.
  12. I had this installed and i think it sounds great. Very customisable
