  1. Thanks for your quick response but would you mind at some convenient time trying to see if you can input the following address :- 368 Great Western Road, Glasgow It's an old address of a shop in Great Western Road and was on my 2012 Sat Nav but is not recognised in my V12, so if your V12 lets you input it then I will know I have a fault Thank You
  2. Just curious as to how you are getting on with your V12 - My V12 is showing lots of missing information such as Towns like Brough in Cumbria, Street number in Western Avenue, Glasgow and Post Codes (Part and complete) I travel around a lot so I use my Sat Nav quite a bit - I would interested to know if you are experiencing the same
  3. I now have V12 installed but after testing a few journeys I noticed on some Post Codes only part can be entered, also some street numbers are missing and even directions on one or two journeys so far the directions are way out. Wonder if anyone else has experienced this
  4. Worth a thought - I live in Scotland and have Family who live near Gainsborough and friends who live in Thorpe Underwood whom I often visit but due to the Lockdown we have curbed our travel, however, I do not think it will last much longer so if I cannot resolve the problem I will certainly consider sending the unit to you (or dropping in) as an option though I am not sure if the car is drive-able without the unit
  5. It seems the Unit may be too old for an update but if you try the following it may help - Disconnect your Battery for approximately 15 minutes then once you re-connect it you may see some warning lights come on but just drive around for 5 or 10 minutes they should go back to normal and your system should be re-set then try and install your SD Card - Worth a Try
  6. Surprising I have the V9 which just says "Internal Error" as soon as I try to load it and the V12 runs for about 70% then says "Internal Error" unlike your version which says installation has been cancelled - Like you I did not get an original SD Card when I purchased my car but I have another SD Card on the way so hopefully that might work
  7. Hi I got an update for my Amundsen+ from a Company called SatnavDisk and when I tried to install it it came up with "Internal Error" I eventually got a replacement and after loading for just over an hour it stopped and again said "Internal Error" the company is going to refund my money but I am not sure if the first attempt done something to my system as all existing maps were wiped clean. I have also considered buying a Non Skoda Unit from Ebay but again not sure if these are any good or not Has anyone any experience with this or suggestions
  8. I am curious to know if anyone has ever experience this or know the solution to trying to update your Sat Nav I purchased a SD Card allegedly with navigational update RNS 315 for my Amundsen+ from a Company called SatnavDisk for £44.99 When I eventually received the SD Card the instructions seemed quite simple insert the Disk and it takes about 2 hours to load, anyway, within about 10 minutes it stopped loading and "INTERNAL ERROR" came up. I sent an email to SatnavDisk and they put a replacement in the post which never arrived and according to them must have got lost in the post so I eventually got a replacement, inserted it and it started to load and about 70% through the loading process "INTERNAL ERROR" it was obvious this was not going to work and even worse my existing mapping system is now completely wiped. Does anyone have any experience of this and what to do - I am tempted to buy a new non skoda unit on Ebay but a bit unsure if they actually work. Any advice would be much appreciated
  9. Seems like I have just made a serious Boo Boo whereas if I had looked at this post I would have known better, anyway, reversing sensor was playing up, working then not working, so stuck it in a garage to be checked out and later received a call saying one of my sensors was gone and the cost for a replacement Part was £95.83 plus Labour - with lots of other things going on i.e. just had new boiler installed etc. I just said go ahead and fix it and ended up paying £155.83 in total. I have absolutely no idea what Skoda would charge for this part but I am amazed that you can buy the equivalent on Ebay for £12 so serious lesson learnt 🥵
  10. Thank You - I will arrange to have a full body scan
  11. My 2012 Skoda Superb Rear Parking Sensors have been working on and off the last couple of weeks and now they have stopped altogether - just a continuous noise when I engage reverse gear so not sure if a scan by a VCDS would show the cause or not
  12. I am thinking of getting the Timing Belt and Water Pump replaced on my 2012 Skoda (73000 miles) and wonder what the Forums view is on Genuine Skoda Parts verses Non Skoda Parts - there seems to be a big difference in price inasmuch as nearly £600 from Skoda Garage against less than £400 from a reputable Non Skoda Garage Is there a serious difference in the parts - Cheers
  13. Couple of weeks ago received a call from Jean Campbell of Parks of Hamilton offering a Economy Gold Service for £109.00 so I asked whats involved they said; Visual Health Check Replace Oil Replace Filters Replace Spark Plugs (My car is a Diesel) Sounded OK so I booked it in Friday 15th December 2017 On my return to the Service Checkout I was told my car did not need the Filters replacing as I had them replaced on the last service but there would be a saving, anyway, after a few minutes I was told the following: Front & Rear brake pads 8mm - Brake disks corroded - Quoted Front = £334.24 & Rear = £266.24 Tyre depths quoting tyre makes that were not even on my car N/S/F & O/S/F wishbone bushes split and in need of replacement - Quoted 2 x £116.62 Advise Timing Belt & Water Pump replacement due to age - Quoted £575.00 Advise 4 Wheel Alignment and rear tyre replacement - This I would arrange elsewhere Advise Brake Fluid change - Quoted £54.00 I went to pay the Bill and was told £99.99 as opposed to the quoted £109.00 so I had cause to challenge this and queried the costs of Filters being around £9.00 and if so could you get your Mechanic to Replace my Filters now - Michael McNairn went back in to his computer and came back with a figure of £69.60 as being the cost without filter replacement, which I duly paid So went home quite perplexed and then realised I had just paid £69.60 for an Oil change so I thought well done Mr Park of Hamilton you have just ripped me off - so my car will be going in to a trusted garage to check out and verify whether or not I need the said work carried out and if so at what cost - Rest assured I will not be using Parks of Hamilton again
