  1. Look at one of the pinned threads for VCDS info.
  2. If you're thinking of using to get US Netflix, for example, I believe they've cracked down on that.
  3. [emoji35] [emoji35] [emoji35] Not what I wanted to read. Typically I have two phones connected: my iPhone for podcasts and my work phone for calls. I was so chuffed when I found I could do this. I guess I'll leave Smart Link on the order as I'm sure it will be useful, but I can't help feeling mildly annoyed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. We took out an Admiral multicar policy last year for my 64 plate Octavia Estate and my wife's 14 plate Ibiza FR Edition. That came to £510, which I was pleased with given I was paying more for my 53 plate Honda CRV... The renewal came through, and they wanted £694 Phoned 'em up and after a number of cycles of the chap saying "I can do <something or other> to reduce it to £xxx, are you happy with that?" and me saying "No, it's still gone up." we ended up at £533. Given the other quotes I'd looked at, I'm happy with that. I just wish my hourly rate was similar to the savings made
  5. Would they be from Mr Winter Wheels? Such a popular combo that that's what they sent me even tho I ordered the Conti TS850s... Can't complain about their customer services tho, they were willing to make the swap but in the end I accepted their offer of twice the cost difference plus the £40 cashback (total of £120) to stick with the Goodyears. To all the doubters out there, I think there's more than enough info out there that they're worth it in this country. I had no real idea that these things existed before reading about them here and then doing some digging. It's all well and good seeing that 2WD and winter tyres get you a lot further up a ski-slope than 4WD and summer tyres. However, I'm more interested in the braking scenario: I'd rather be stationary than still doing 20-25mph as seen in this video on both snow and cold wet roads.
  6. Looks like a great trip. I was going to say "I just hope those States aren't listed chronologically..." but then I looked at the map and can see the route. Into NY and out from Baltimore? Or a slight double back and out from Dulles?
  7. Yes, there was also the standard rest on the left in both cars.
  8. My 51 reg mk4 Golf V5 (my first car with cruise) had a footrest on the right. I'm fairly certain the 55 reg Focus Ghia that followed it did also, but wouldn't put much money on it.
  9. You can add favourite brands too. They appear at the top of the list, and then it goes in proximity order.

  11. I think the boot question has been answered [emoji3] cheers guys. Given that we just about managed to avoid sticking the roof box on: I'm quite pleased with the stats for the journey: This was the first time I've used Eco mode. It was fine on the motorway and dual carriageway, but quickly switched off once on A roads. Cruise was set low to mid 70s.
  12. Good thinking Phil! There is a similar space on the other side- currently occupied by our steamer... #middleclassholiday
  13. That was one of the most amazing episodes of TV ever. (So glad I persevered through the lull at the start of S4.)
