Mine has developed this suspect noise as well. Only 7 months old. Can only be heard when I have the window down. Occurs when it revs above 1000rpm. It is clearly a rattle of some sort cause when I stand outside the car and gently Rev it with my left foot it's clearly noticeable. I have already took the car back to the dealer once which they said it was normal. I quickly told the service manger to get another superb with the same engine. He parked it next to mine and started to rev it up. Suprise suprise no rattle. He left a little red faced. They had the car for 2 days. Fuel pump replaced, apparently that was the source of the rattle. Picked it back up and and there was no difference. The master fit mechanic came out and explained it was some sort of cylinder. I was in a rush so said I would return if it got worse. Now, it has not any worse than before but it clearly has a rattle somewhere. It's quite annoying when driving with the window open. I have listened to a number of 2.0litre 140 and they have no rattle at whole as they sound perfect. I am going to call into the dealer tomorrow as its clearly not right. Is this a common issue? I take it is just with 2.0tdi's?

Current Skoda Finance offer

Yes, but only on the S and SE model I think. Was certainly the case when I ordered mine. -
No. All you get is a spray can and a compressor. A spare was an optional extra

Both back and base are the same for mine (I think). Never noticed if they were different temp.

Based in Newcastle Brocky. Thanks guys. Very grateful for all the advice. Im going to talk to dealer about the option to repair it first etc so will see what they say.

The damage is actually in the dashboard material. In the picture that I posted above the damaged can be seen from the whit mark near the top. Apologies as I know the photo is not great.

Aye - new dashboard. :-( Seems a lot to change for such a small area.

Yes. That the place Jake. I thought that but was quite surprised when They said a whole new dashboard as individual parts cannot be repair or replaced. Green circle

Dealer was happy to replace but suggested that if it was his car, he would leave it be. I replied but it's only 2 months old. He suggested that fitting a new dashboard in the dealership will never be the same as a factory fit as everything has to come out then back in again. I have contacted Skoda Uk and discussed the issue with them as well as my concerns. They have said that all workmanship has a warranty behind it so if a rattle does develop it will be sorted. My main concern with the replacement dash is having a unexpected rattle and damaging the car when replacing it as at the moment everything is perfect, well except for the dash. The place where the fault is odd and I was surprised I never noticed it until today. It is out of eye shot and would only ever be noticed if I was bending down looking for it or in the passenger side. Now I know it is there, it's very annoying. Going to ring the dealer tomorrow to discuss.

Doesn't show well in the photo but the white is basically the split. Not big I know but still very annoying on a brand new car.
