  2. Friend of mine has a diagnostic comp, a good one! before and after cleaning the throttle body it came up with a fault saying RHU Intermitent. Anyone know what this means? Thanks
  3. I had a snap on computer onto it and it came up with RHU intermittent whatever that means! i'll check it all over tonight though thanks
  4. I had a problem a few weeks back with my engine cutting out, it turned out it was the throttle body that was gunked up and the poor thing couldn't breathe properly haha a bit of carb cleaner and elbow grease and it was good as new. now 3 weeks on it's started doing this again, would putting some injector fluid into the system make sure this doesn't happen again? or do i need to clean something else? Thanks
  5. it's a family friend, £25 for the kit from tps and then £50 fitting. ring around and get quotes off all local traders and play them against each other is what i've found best, can find out if your being ripped off or not then too
  6. Hello, Can people tell me the best place to buy a timing chain kit for a Fabia 1.4 MPI 2001 reg please. got someone to fit it just need the kit without getting ripped off. Postage or local collection to Sheffield/Manchester Thanks
  7. That's lovely thank you, other half has a freelander 2 which is ok in the snow but not excellent, dad's always had Audi quattros which were amazing in the snow with proper tyres on. So it would of been pay a fortune for insurance on my partners car so i could drive that to work but now i know it's OK i'll get some proper winter tyres and be ready for it!
  8. There's no need to be so snappy im just giving you the information i know to try help myself! the garage who did whatever they did to the sensor aren't here to ask so im just telling you what i can see!
  9. Sorry guys my heads not with it today, Before i bought it it went for a service and an MOT. Now they said to me they had replaced the sensor which I've heard you can't or is very hard to do. seen as though the clips to the tank weren't on properly i presume they've just replaced the whole tank. Hope that makes more sense
  10. I was meaning i looked under the car to see if any coolant had leaked
  11. Thanks for that! I live in a hilly and high up area so this is handy! i'll be moving to a place on woodhead pass soon so need something that's good for that in the winter!
  12. I presume it's had a new header tank if it's had a new sensor on! I've tried looking for a leak and can see nothing and the level stays the same (i put a pen mark on when cold and one when the engine was warm and the levels are always the same, i check just about every day)
