  1. Hi Wino. The fuse is in working order. I will have a look at the second suggestion from you later today. Thanks for the reply!
  2. Hi Ken. Yes I'm sure I don't have the fog lights on. I'm curious how would this cause a fault light to show on the dashboard?
  3. Hi I don't have a travel of touring mode. The car is a 54 plate so fairly old. Thanks for the reply though!
  4. I'm looking for some advice please. When my headlights are turned off I get a dashboard warning light to say there's an issue with my lights. I can't see any issues with the lights when they're active and all of my lights work including the brake and fog... I don't know where to look for an issue. It may be a possible earth issue but I have no idea what cable to follow and where from. Any comments are grateful!
  5. OK. Thanks for the reply anyway! Hopefully I will get this solved. I've put clear fuel lines to and from the filter and the return line to the filter is full of air and this coincides with the non starting issue!
  6. I haven't removed the injectors yet. I would like to but I need to have confidence that I'm going to be doing a correct job. Don't suppose you're in a position which may be able to help me?
  7. Thanks for your reply! Were you able to look at the seals yourself and find out if they needed replacing? Did you replace them yourself? Really would like to keep cost down and avoid a garage!
  8. I changed them when the issue started over a year ago and unfortunately it made no difference!
  9. I've had a problem for a while which is when my car will not fire up straight away. This disappears when the fuel tank is full and when not full is easier to start not long after being stopped. It feels as though the lift pump may be struggling to feed the fuel or the fuel isn't keeping pressure or staying in the pipes after being stopped. I'm just guessing at this. I recently had a injector changed which I think happened as a result of this feeling issue which I've had for well over a year now as I can't find the issue. Please suggestions will be appreciated!
  10. I changed my injector loom last weekend as I've been having a start up issue and misfiring issue with my car. I removed the EGR, battery and detached the maf for easy access. When I put it all back together and it was stood it started first time over a day or 2. When I drove it the issue started to happen again. Would removing any if the items have reset something which would have allowed it to start for time? Would changing the injector loom have reset the injector input? Can someone please help I've been having this issue for ages.
  11. I'm unsure if the two are related but my car has trouble starting after being stood for 2+ hours, in mornings after 7+hours it's like a wind up car where it takes several key turns while holding the key to start. Recently when on roads it has started to stick I boot it, it sticks at around 3k revs but this may vary. When it sticks no boost is present and my car kicks loads of black smoke out. Please help, the starting issue has been for ages but has not got worse. Thanks
  12. Do you have the fuel filter non return valve at all??
  13. Do you still have the fuel filter non return valve?
  14. Thought I had cracked the problem however there have been a few times when the struggle to start has happened with the temp sensor disconnected. When I check what the sensor is reading when cold am I expecting the reading to be the outside temp? Could you guide me as to how I may narrow down this possible fueling issue I'm having?
  15. Yes I have scanned it and there are no faults coming up. I first changed the glow plugs as I thought it was them but no change at all with the new ones.
