  1. Hi Guys I have just purchased some genuine roof bars for my mk3 octavia hatch, they were listed as fitting all mk3 octavia hatchs but they dont seem to fit at all. They are mega tight and wont hook around the contour of the roof I have attached a image of the feet, now i feel because it has a picture of a fabia on them then they may indeed be for a fabia. Does anyone have a genuine set of roof bars to see what theirs look like, i cant seem to find a part number on the feet only on the cover which appears to cross reference to most of the rails for different skoda models any help woul be very much appreciated thanks Rob
  2. Hmm i don't really want loose the 19s if im honest, yeah i have read that people say the Eibach have a better ride which is a bit worrying but surely they are stiffer then the standard ones? guess ill have to throw some standard ones on it and see what its like then
  3. Hi recently swapped my 2007 Mk2 Vrs tfsi for a 2016 Mk3 Vrs230 and its definitely a improvement in every way other then im finding the ride quite crashy/harsh on anything other then smooth tarmac especially compared to the mk2. Now the car has been fitted with eibach pro springs so what do other people think to the ride with these on? I think im going to put some standard springs on and try it standard but not sure if its down to the suspension or the standard 19" wheels? Obviously the ride is going to be a bit stiffer compared to a non vrs but for a family hatchback id expect it to ride better then it does its like it cant cope with lots of bumps/uneven road surface Any thoughts?
  4. and what is required to put a maxi dot into my car? how do i go about checking that part number is correct for my car? there is one listed on eBay for sale not to far from me if its definitely that part number? thank you for the advise!!
  5. Thanks for the quick reply Eddie Mine is 2007 57 plate TFSI Vrs if that make any difference? Had a quick look into the maxidot upgrade but wasn't to sure which instrument cluster i would need to do this and i guess i would have to upgrade the stereo at the same for it all to look right?
  6. Hi guys after a little advise, my 2007 pre face lift Octavia speedo needle has stopped working its been repaired once but has only last about 8 months so im now looking at replacing it with a second hand one, i have found one on eBay that is the same part number (1Z0 920 910C ) now from doing some research on here it looks like i will need the SKC code for both panels to be able to program the second hand unit to the car is this correct? Can the millage be put into the second hand speedo so it matches the car? and can anyone recommend anyone that can do this for me close to the Doncaster area? Thanks Rob
  7. Euro car parts sell good tailored car mats i have had a few sets of from them for various cars and they have all fitted very well
  8. Much easier to remove the headlight if you haven't already?
  9. Looks like the one to me, should be a alloy 19mm bolt you will obviously have to remove the undertray to allow the old oil to drian into a bucket of some sort and dont over tighten the bolt back up!!
  10. Hi, just joined the forum after buying my new (2007) race blue tfsi vrs hatch today!! got a few bits to do to it before any "slight" modifying, first of all need to get some stone chips sorted on the bonnet/top of wings and a new indicator lens on the drivers mirror only driven it a day but love it already, although will miss my 1.8t Bora that iv had for 7 years i worked on the spanners at Skoda for 7 years but left around 6 years ago now so its bringing back memory's for me as i always wanted but couldn't afford one when new!
