  1. Same same. We 'suffer' down here with high tyre prices & limited choices. Was happy with the Conti's so stuck with them.
  2. I got 38,000km out of the front pair of SportContact 5's on my Sportline & have only just changed the rears (& another set of fronts) at 72,000km. Could have gotten more out of the rear if I really wanted to push it.
  3. Hey Tony, haven't found out as yet as haven't chased. Once I do I will let you know though.
  4. Parts all arrived late last week / early this week (of course not at the same time). Repair is underway but the workshop it moving so should hopefully get the car back next week... I'm guessing late next week as also needs a service, a Warrant of Fitness & 4 tyres.
  5. No idea... should probably check. Yes, was mechatronic ECU.
  6. Another call today... parts due 15th July... & I need to take the loan Scala back as they're 'upgrading' me.
  7. Just called the dealer... parts in transit, no idea of ETA (which knowing what the supply chain is like I am not surprised). Have been told 100% of parts & 70% of labour are covered. Just a waiting game now.
  8. Just this morning had my second error message pop up so took the car into the dealer. Confirmed as mechatronic unit, parts could be a month away, maybe 2. Here in NZ for 2018 we only had a 3 year warranty so of course that's well gone... given an approx. of NZD2-3k. Guess at least they had the decency to give me a load car. Now will be interesting to see if Skoda NZ chip in some of the cost for goodwill.
  9. You won't be able to carry it on a plane anyways as luggage. & with the global shipping / air freight market in the state it's in it's very difficult to find an airline to carry this sort of thing as cargo currently. One of our customers has a helicopter grounded as we can't get the required parts in the country (not an airbag but something similarly explosive).
  10. 7000 of them... Left hand drive only... not much use for us down here.
  11. From what I have seen here in NZ you're not going to save a lot if you want decent tyres... I mean there are these in original size... https://www.hyperdrive.co.nz/product/4311/tri-ace-prada?associated=257579
  12. Whilst we don't have 3 kids so need 3 seats across we regularly have 2 kids & an adult across the middle row. We went with Diono Radian 3XT as our requirement wasn't only a slim seat but a reasonably high weight limit. Having said that the first gen XC90 we had was far better for 3 across than the Kodiaq with the way the seats are designed.
  13. Formentor or Leon Sportstourer (which is another $3k cheaper again)? I see the top spec Formentor has the Sportline/RS seats - which in the Cupra Ateca are a $3k extra from memory.
  14. None that would do any good for your warranty or soft factory rotors I would have thought.
  15. You'd think if they're going to the trouble of fitting dynamic indicators they would have extended them to start in the bootlid... they look about 3 led's long now so hardly dynamic.
