A few questions about the Superb
Nippy1975 replied to Nippy1975's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Thanks for the reply, I prefer the sportline styling, but the Mrs couldn’t get comfy in the Sportline so that really rules that out. If my mrs was comfy and the one I test drove was blue I’d have bought it as it had the tow bar and heated screen I wanted. I haven’t seen any manual 4x4s so that’s why I wanted paddles. Anyhow, driving an iV today to see if that engine needs to be added to the hunting list. A lot of my driving now is local with the odd weekly longer run out after changing jobs. Previously I was doing 25-26k a year. Now it will be more like 11-12k. -
Over the last two days I have test driven a diesel 190 4x4 sportline and a petrol 272 L&K. The Sportline had Flappy Paddles, the L&K didn’t, is it possible to retrofit the steering wheel with flappy paddles? Also is it possible to activate traffic sign recognition on the L&K if it isn’t on the car? Many thanks for any assistance.

Oh well, back to looking at non iV then. Thanks for the info, thought that may be the case. -

Can you get a space saver in the iV?. This may suit me more with a 3 mile run to the station and occasional 200 mile trips. -

Yes some used ones seem to have them, some don’t. I won’t buy a car unless it has a space saver as a minimum. To be fair, I’m leaning more to the Kodiak at present. Will have to get out and drive both when the showrooms are properly open. Thanks for the info. I probably should have put it in the buying a Skoda thread. -

Thanks for the reply. Will research the tow bar thing. It would be easier to find a used example with one already fitted of course but sometimes you can’t always do that. -
Hello, I’m thinking about either a Superb or Kodiak around a year old. Quite like the L&K versions as they have the toys I like. Anyway, If the car doesn’t have a space saver, is it possible to have one added? if the car doesn’t have the retractable tow bar, is that something that the dealer can retrofit? Any other things to look for? Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

Getting a bit ****ed off with this.

They will mate, just be careful when they have been on a while. I had them on my mapped Mondeo, very very unpredictable in the wet when they had been on for a few months. -

This winds me up a bit. Empty road behind me but no, Mr Q7 is coming through here anyway! -
My brother had some on his Zafira, mighty impressed actually. Went up a hill as easy as my Mondeo with 18inch Winters on.

I did stop for a coffee after that. One of the closest I've had without hitting something! -
I love those wheels!

Little scare on the way to work this morning. -
Good news as they are my local Skoda dealer for when I eventually get mine!

This winds me up as well. If you're going to go then go, don't go then stop.
