Good suggestion - I have a python lock that would give some additional security. But roof bars should be okay for a touring holiday. Maybe if replacement-keys.co.uk were a bit slower to ship, then my roof bars would be that much safer...

Delighted to report that my problem is resolved, less than 24 hours after I posted! As suggested, I ordered a replacement pair here and they arrived this morning and fit perfectly! Never thought it could be done so quickly and cheaply - I'll think twice before despairing over other lost keys in the future. Thanks guys!

Thanks weasley! I've ordered a pair - little to lose...

I've lost a bunch of keys containing my only copy of the key that locks my genuine Skoda roof bars. I'm told Skoda won't supply replacement keys, or even a replacement set of the locking end caps with matching keys. The locks have a code number stamped on them. Can anyone suggest how I can get my roof bars secured again? It would be a wicked waste to throw away the bars and buy an entire replacement.

Someone is advertising used genuine Skoda Superb Estate roof bars cheap. Would those be suitable for use on a Yeti?
