  1. pittvrs I got a Chuckle Brothers signed photo when they were on tour at Preston Guild Hall so I might as well put that on ebay. Cheers everyone by the way
  2. Hi everyone, Guess what, I've just won it! I got a phone call at lunch time, and I've won an in-car portable dvd player! I'm very excited about sitting in the back of my own car, it looks like my girlfriend will get to drive after all!! Can someone do me a favour please - if you have a copy of the magazine, could you let me know exactly what I've won, so I can gloat over it on the internet whilst I'm waiting for it! Thank you
  3. According to this week's Autocar, the styling boss said 'it will be a small facelift' later this year. Has anyone else heard anything? I really want to know what the changes will be asap as I have found a really good deal on a new Fabia vrs that expires the end of Feb :thumbdwn: I'm expecting revised reasr clusters, body-colour handles and rub strips, and some kind of change to the grille, oh and there will be a new gearknob or something inside. There always is
  4. Yeah I was very pleasently surprised with that quote; adding my girlfriend actually reduced it by
  5. Looking for reasonable insurance before I order a Fabia VRS. I had a claim in 2000 but not my fault (the deer I hit had no insurance!). Long enough ago now not to mention to most companies, but i still have no NCB, but have been a named and regular driver since then without incident. I have a clean licence and no convictions. Good area and garaged. Does anyone know of a company who may give me an introductory no claims bonus, or just a good quote? Best so far is Admiral with

  7. Ooohh, which bits are green and which bits are red?
  8. I'm sure I was careful enough to use the word 'mature'. That's a compliment
  9. Cheers, that's interesting . I'm not sure i can see myself in the Octavia, it's much bigger than what I really need. How do costs compare with the FAb vRS? Obviously it will use a lot more fuel, does it have to be 98 RON? What about servicing and the costs involved, are they similar or a big discrepancy? Is the 1.8 unit reliabble, and are there any major faults or expensive periodic maintenance (cambelts etc)? Sorry for all the questions
  10. Cheers all. I'd always thought of th Tavia as a bit too 'mature' for me . Worth a look I guess. I might wait a few months til Fab vRSs start filtering onto the secondhand market. Should be looking at just about sub-
  11. Ahh, someone familiar with the area. You obviously went up that side of PenyGhent to find all that awful weather.
  12. The Yorkshire Dales never see anything but sun It's a tough decision but I want to get it right
