  2. Hi A - B ! Just bought a 2 year old Octy 1.8t 4 x 4 estate and still grinning ear to ear!! What a FUN car to drive ( Mind u i was driving a Volvo tank of a 4 x 4 before ) Take all the back roads to work now just for the heck of it coz the Octy is soooo much fun to drive.....Just need to keep an eye on the speedo so i dont get a ticket New to this site as well.....looks a bit of a laugh ...so welcome and enjoy ! cheers Crawf Sunny Aberdeenshire !!
  3. AFter heaps of Subarus's (Mainly Legacys im afraid) and having driven a Volvo xc90 for a year i just bought a Octy 1.8t 4 x 4 Estate.....FUN....never had so much on 4 wheels.....ALMOST as good as the Kawa 650 for leaving a mega grin on my face ....actually enjoying the trip to work inthe morning and taking the back roads just for the helluvit !! I know that doesnt answer yr question...the 4 x 4 seems to have heaps of electronic aids ( EDL , ABS chucked in ) and ive taken it thru the muddy field beside our barn and it handles the sticky stuff as good as the Legacys....BARGAIN and GREAT FUN cheers Crawf Bennachie 4 x 4
  4. Hi folks , after several Subaru's ( boring Legacy's im afraid ) finally sussed i could by 2 second hand Octavia 1.8t 4 x 4 's for the price Scooby dealer wanted for one low mileage Outback......No contest eh! Im probably the exception to the rule , everyones message ive read seems to want to get the ride height down.....unfortunately living down a farm track that looks like its been hit with land mines I'm looking for a possible ride height extension.....nae a lot mind......( but in this case size does matter ) Does anyone do adj shocks or adj suspension ( a la Audi Allroad idea ) so that i can "grow a bit of height" to get down the track in the winter without loosing the exhaust yet not look like a jacked up Lada when heading down the M90 ?? Also , how good ./ bad is the 4 x 4 Octavia system in the snow ?? ANY ideas or feedback most welcome Thanks ! Crawford
