  1. Yup, they're gonna replace the wiper motor under warranty - phew it runs out on the 15th April! Laters Dan
  2. Thanks for all your comments, I rang my dealer they said bring it in on Monday, so I'll let you know what the result was. He suspected a faulty motor, so we'll see. Dan
  3. I've got a 2004 Fabia Vrs and recently I noticed the rear washer jet has started to move with the wiper when I operate the jet. Ever since new, it used to just squirt upwards while the wiper moved through the jet. Now I pose the question which operation is correct? I am going to ring my dealer tomorrow to see what they say, but I just thought I'd throw it out to you guys. I assume if it's supposed to stay still (vertical) then something has either come loose or worn to cause it to move when the wiper moves. The warranty runs out next month so I think I want to get it sorted ASAP! Dan
  4. Only just read your thread, so bit short notice for this weekend, but if there's gonna be interest in October I'll come along, have to meet some fellow Furby vRS owners! Cheers Dan
  5. I have noticed it, but decided not to complain as I assumed it's just wear and tear, from where I get in the car. I have had my seats Supagard Valeted once as there were little marks on the seats I couldn't get off, and suffice to say they did a good job, but didn't stop the fluff. But I haven't seen fit to complain, I've already had a shock absorber (front passenger side) replaced, due to a rattle, I have another rattle now, which I am trying to find out what it is.... Dan
  6. I agree with AlexST I have just replaced all four of my Conti Sport Contact 2's, and my Furby VRS has done just over 20,000 miles, so not a lot of wear out of them. Done mainly motorway miles. Was gonna replace them with Conti's again but my tyre dealer told me Conti aren't making any more until Sept!! So My dealer shoved on some Dunlop Sport 3000 E's on, don't look at good as the Conti's - look more likely to get curbed :-( We'll see, it's been dry, and just rained - i'll let you know if I end up in a hedge!
  7. Mine has the same problem as I have a very low garage door, all I do is loosen the screw and fold it down before putting it away. not good for lazy people but a fix none the less. Dan
  8. Mine does that all the time after it's warmed up, dealer reckons it's normal i dont like it much especially at pub closing time when there is lots of people about - quite embarrassing! Nevermind, don't go backwards that often!
  9. Met up with my brother the other weekend, who has a BMW Z3 2.2 (164 bhp i think), kept up with him from a roundabout, up to 120 then I think he pulled away a bit before chickening out..... but hey he was impressed with my little Furby.... and so was I - I thought he wasn't trying coz I didn't push her that hard, but he said he was red lining every gear. Anybody had similar surprising experiences? Dan
  10. Not long after getting my new vRS in April I noticed a rattle in the passenger door, took it to dealer, fixed it. Well pleased, but now I have a dull rattle that seems to appear at low-ish speeds in the rear of the car, possibly from the boot. maybe the rear left hand side. I thought it was the bobbly things on the strings on the parcel shelf, so i took the parcel shelf out, but the rattle was still there. Then I took the head rests out, still there. But it is definately from the boot area. My next job is to try takin the spare wheel out see if that is it. Then I will try jacking it up and wiggling the suspension components, after that i will phone my dealer again but I'm not sure what they'll find. Just wondered if anyone else has a similar rattle. it's annoying now I know it's there! Cheers guys, Dan
  11. I haven't looked for a previous thread, but I bought my car in April this year and after warming up and then reversing the car I get an awful groaning noise, took it to my dealer, they reckon its normal, something to do with the pads vibrating. I believe them but I don't exactly like the idea of reversing in a street full of people only for my car to make a noise like Dory's impression of a blue whale out of Finding Nemo. I have tried reversing fast and braking to take the sheen of the discs but hey, I've done over 5000 miles now, shouldv'e gone by now. Any people had similar probs/remedies. Cheers. Dan
  12. They look so cool, oh and compliments on the very shiny paintwork too! I bought my Fabia Vrs in silver so not sure how white will go with the paintwork.
