  1. Hi all, I have an '05 Fabia Bohemia Estate. I'd like to put speakers in the rear under the grilles either side of the the parcel shelf. I've read that Pioneer TS-1001i or TS-1002i will fit: http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/car_accessories/Skoda/Fabia/09_1999/speakers.html I've been wanting to do this for ages, since having children, just so my wife an I can fade their music to the back of the car so we can still talk on long car journeys. I'm not looking for audiophile quality. I'm pretty handy, but with my car have only attempted (successfully) replacing the HU and front and component speakers a few years ago. This time round I'm guessing I'll need to take off a fair bit more trim. Can anyone advise me on how I can do the following: Access the areas under the grilles Route wiring from these areas to the front of the car (I'm assuming it'll be via the door sills) Get the wiring to the rear of the HU Also, I do have a pretty decent range of home tools (incl. wire cutters, crimping tool), but don't have any specialist tools. I've read you can get plastic trim tools. Are these worth getting? Anything else you think I might need beyond buying the speakers and the cable? Thanks
  2. Thanks you two, I've managed to get it installed and working fine. Had to take another forum piece of advice though... chiselling off some of the plastic ribs on the floor of the OEM casing. It's a shame the display brightness can only be dimmed with Kenwood's settings and not with the Skoda dash control for all the other internal lights. Any ideas?
  3. Hi everyone, I'm new here. I drive a Fabia Bohemia Estate '05. It's a 1.4 TDI in Magic Black. I love it because it's so fuel efficient. I driven nearly 50k in it and I generally average 63mpg, though sometimes averaging 71mpg on slower journeys down to Surrey. D
  4. Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and am really hoping someone can help me. I have an '05 Fabia estate which I love and drive in for about 3 hours a day. Like some other users I've wanted to hook up my iPod, through my TomTom 720, connecting that in turn to the stereo. This way I can control my phone and iPod through the TomTom, plus get my calls, travel alerts etc. routed through the stereo. To do this I've purchased a Kenwood KDC-W3537G headunit because its green and has an AUX socket. I've removed the Symphony using the Kenwood keys (the 'Skoda' ones I bought on eBay were rubbish). I've also purchased a surround for the headunit to fill the gap and also have the arial adapter. However... I can't fit the Kenwood cage into the hole The black ISO Skoda connector matches up to the Kenwood ISO connector. However, the brown Skoda ISO connector has four leads going into it that don't match the postion of the leads on the Kenwood ISO adapter. Is this going to be a problem? If so, is it possible to change them around? Thanks
