I have done the following:- Full restore through iTunes - and not loaded backed up information Synced all contacts with Google Mail, prior to full restore, and then loaded all contacts onto phone as new through google mail (dont have outlook) Reset factory settings on RNS510 Paired phone after factory restore. Still no phone book

I suspected it might be something to do with this..... So really what you are saying is I need to load all my phone contacts onto outlook, then delete all contacts on the ihpone and then sync it though itunes?

I am really confused :think: I borrowed a friends iphone 3gs yesterday afternoon, connected it with my VRS Stu installed kit, and it fully integrated perfectly, downloaded the complete phonebook, recent calls etc etc. Very clear speech, no echo etc. Absolutely spot on With mine which is a 3GS so exactly the same model, it pairs ok, works perfectyl well for calls, but the phonebook downloads with gobbledygook symbols :( There must be a way to get it to fully integrate, as my mates did yesterday. Anybody got any ideas? I am thinking it must be something to do with the way contacts are added to the iphone? Any help greatley appreciated.....

How did you alter the cutoff so the beam is flatter?

It only takes around 2 minutes to sort itself out, so it is not really much of a problem, just strange why it does it!

Anybody had the problem of the Colombus losing its memory regarding location? Got in the car this morning, map was in the correct location. Spot on Drove to work, parked till lunchtime. Got in the car to get some lunch, and the map was showing I was in Germany. After a couple of minutes, it corrected to the right location. Got in the car tonight, same thing, thought it was in Germany. Any ideas anybody?

Well - went for it this afternoon - Success!! Everything seems fine. I had to reprogramme my six phone book favourites, and reset the unit a couple of times to get it to work out where it was in the world. Navi is now working in Maxidot, as well as Audio I had to walk away and get the lawnmower out whilst it was installing, too much stress!!

Well - do I take the plunge????????

Ok - so looks like I need to run the 2664 upgrage to change my 1Z0 unit to a 3T0 unit, which will hopefully enable the Navi in Maxidot. Before I take the plunge - Am I right in saying that the battery drain problem is only happening on pre-facelift cars?

Does anybody know if this update changes the unit from an Octavia Unit Coding to a Superb Unit Coding? Does 1Z0 change to 3T0??
