  1. Cant see a powered seat option on the configurator - am I dreaming or did I see it a couple of weeks ago? Many of the lease broker sites offer it as an option - is it part of a pack, can they be added individually? How many 'ways' do they offer - 6/8/10/12? Looking to decide on what options to add to a potential lease order on an SE-L 2.0TDI DSG 150 - anyone any experience of the normal vs Matrix LED headlights - currently have LED in an Audi A6 and would be nice to upgrade to the matrix - how good are the standard LED - likely to be as good as the Audi ones? The brochure suggests that the variable boot floor is an option on SEL but is listed as standard equipment on the configurator - standard or not? Lane assist with traffic sign recognition - does the sign recognition work with the ACC and adjust the speed accordingly? Got a decent quote on a lease 3 +35 / 15k for £314 (Ok, some may say not so low a cost compared to lease costs a few years ago, but in the current climate is OK) I know that with a lease, I am paying out for options that are wasted money but the car its replacing is £90 a month more (£140 amortised) - so dont mind adding a couple to bring to similar spec to the Audi (Electric seats been one as find them more adjustable than manual) Ta
  2. You mean 97% of the bits from Range Rovers have fallen off and left on the road?
  3. With a lease you have no automatic right to buy..... however, plenty of people are contacted to see if they would like to..... (who generally tell the leasing company that they have used up their mileage allowance as it may just lower the asking price......)
  4. If you are on facebook, there are generally loads of selling groups for your area - some specifically for cars. Always worth a punt for free :-)

    LED Lights

The pre FL Yeti had Bi-Xenons, the FL model has seperate.
  6. Change coming home/away lights to the fogs/DRL so that the Xenon lights are not used (As you have an elegance, assume that you have the xenon lights). FYI, if you are looking for the needle sweep, it is also called 'staging' when you search for it.
  7. Mind that the factory xenons have the AFS (or AFS II) function - they have motors in them to steer the light around corners and adjust their own height. The AFS II ones also change the focus dependant on the prevailing weather conditions I believe (stand to be corrected) - ie, if the wipers are on, the car knows its raining so the lights focus differently. So, all that needs wiring and programming into the car with VCDS - and then there is the headlight washers and device that adjusts the height. I cant really imagine its an easy job to do properly and it sounds like you do want to do it properly.
  8. I have done just this on many cars incl the Yeti. The APillar trim does indeed pull off, if you pull away the door seal slightly where it runs past the trim it will reveal one of the edges. I dont really think that there is enough room to run the wire down there to be honest, if you could a chance that it could 'chaff or rub'. So just use your fingers and pull the trim off bit by bit, its just clipped on in three or four places and the bottom section is tucked to the side of the top of the dash. It is really simple. The airbag is attached to the metal of the pillar, not to the trim and so shouldn't get in the way. Take the cover from the fuse box (it will probably just 'hang' there as there is a lug that holds it in place. Do the electrical work and you should see that there is a cable run from the fuse box up the side and onto the A-Pillar. Do not cross over the airbag, run the cable to the side but not over it, you can use existing fixings to attach it to. Once at the top you should be able to push the cable between the headlining and the windscreen. I would leave an extra couple of inches of cable if you can so if you change dashcam, the cable will reach to a new position..... most are micro usb and are 5V so most will be able to use this power source.
  9. Mind that it could have stuck in your tyre tread and fallen out when on your drive.... probably nothing to be concerned of.
  10. I have owned three of the most perceived unreliable brands of cars in recent years and never had issues with any of them: Freelander Td4 04 plate, bought with 12k on at 4 years old, sold with 118k on 2 years later - never missed a beat Citreon C-Crosser - 80k and no issues Fiat Doblo Van - 60k, no issues. Not dismissing the results but have seen it said but surely, VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda should be around the same place, unless people demand more of the Audi's and dont tolerate smaller issues?
  11. Owner's manual? You mean they actually supply a manual as well? Like... Like, what you can read and like find stuff out about the car? Wow, amazing.
  12. For what is is worth, my 4WD 2.0 TDI 140 is on 60,000miles and (as far as I am aware) still on its original pads and discs. I bought the car on 25k so it has either covered the full 60k, or 35k with the same discs and pads - either way, more than your estimated 20,000km (12,000 Miles)
  13. I have heard the saying before "dont use it, lose it" and feel that if the 4wd was disabled then it would quite possible either seize or cause other problems when it was later re-activated. The 4wd system been active wont contribute too much towards the fuel consumption if driven sensibly, its the additional weight that would do the most damage - if you were wanting to save fuel.
  14. You say you have recently bought the yeti, was this a private sale or from a dealer? If a dealer then suggest that they fix it for you, the owness is on them to show that the fault was not there when you bought the car. If Skoda say its due to the previous owners driving, then that is surely enough to show that?
  15. Although I have no real experience of lease cars (PCH) or the PCP deals, I believe that the dealers have to stick to the BVRLA guidance that sets out what is acceptable as wear and tear and what isnt. http://www.gecapital.co.uk/en/docs/BVRLA_FWT_GECapital.pdf
