  1. I had the same type of issue with my Karoq. Started the car when battery was low and lit up the dash with similar faults, and more! The issue was Steering Angle Sensor had lost calibration. Had to have it reset at dealer.
  2. This is my daughters Fabia Monte Carlo that we purchased from a Briskoda member in January 2021 with around 25k miles. It was Cat C recorded in 2017 with front o/s wing and suspension damaged and subsequently repaired to a high standard. I have an image of the damage and the receipts for repair parts. The car has now done around 83k miles and has been serviced annually - with all the invoices present - MOT until August. It's a great car, goes well and is quite economical, whilst having good performance. Generally it is in nice condition - the wheels could really do with a refurb and we have just replaced the coil pack/leads/plugs. She has now purchased a Kamiq SE DSG as she was spoilt by driving my Karoq and Fabia vRS, both with DSG. Price is now reduced to £2350 o.n.o John Thomson Tel: 07860 208007 Car is in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
  3. Thanks very much all for your replies. I did get a re-finance quote from VWFS but interest was 9.9% APR. I will just get a personal loan to cover most of the balloon payment - seen rates of around 5.8% Cheers, John.
  4. So, my 48 month PCP expires at end of September. I contracted the car on 60k miles, but have only so far covered 45k miles due to a change in my work pattern. My balloon payment is just over 10k and I intend to keep the car, as it is in good condition and cost to replace on a like for like basis is exorbitant, and much as I like the look and value of the Elroq, I'm not ready yet for the EV "experience" Has anyone had a dealer quote to finance the balloon - i.e. interest rate against maybe adding warranty/service offer? Unfortunately my local dealer is Citygate in Watford and they are just a large, fairly impersonal "machine". Thanks for any input. Cheers, John.

Interesting when they come to check your Karoq (or any other Skoda model) and question why you have VW and Audi parts fitted 🤣
  6. I had a removable tow bar fitted to my 2021 Karoq which has tow bar prep. I used a vehicle specific electrics kit but still needed coding (without it gives an error on front assist).
  7. I can echo this - used to swap over to winter tyres (every end November to March) but not enough really bad weather to justify. Have 19" wheels, now fitted with Cross Climate 2 and they are excellent and also wear well. So good in fact, that I invested in a set for my wife's Corsa as she hates driving in icy/snow conditions!
  8. I think you mean 3G Networks - this is already happening across UK and Europe. I think that you will find that the Cellular Comms module is 4G/LTE, so not an issue 😀
  9. It seems that the low battery corrupted the ABS calibration?
  10. Absolutely, I'm not a fan of Halfords, but needed the battery quickly. Anyway, things have progressed - of course, restoration of power and drving/turning steering whel should have reolved all these issues. I visited our local guy with Vagcom, who's really switched on and he worked out that the ABS needs recalibration. He tried a couple of times using Vagcom, but no success - apparently it requires Skoda/VAG on-line account access to resolve. I've now booked it in with my local Skoda dealer in Watford for next Tuesday - in the meantime I have no assistance services including (but not limited to) ABS, Traction Control, Cruise Control (the list goes on & on!!)
  11. Thanks for the reply. I had it fitted at Halfords, and they did supposedly code it in. But driving a distance and much wheel turning hasn't cleard the errors 🥵 I am going to see my local guy with Vagcom tomorrow to see if he can fix it.
  12. Yesterday, I was sitting in my Karoq (2021 1.5Tsi DSG) with the engine off and radio on. Got a warning message, low battery, run engine. Just about managed to start the engine, but left loads of warning messages with systems not available e.g. front assist, ESC, hill hold, stop-start etc. Had the battery replaced this morning, but all the error messages are still there, and systems not working. Technician scanned the car, but no error codes shown? Any ideas on this one please? Thanks.

I have the optional electric adjustable drivers seat with my Karok, which allows much more adjustment than the manual. It has 3 memory position function, which also includes door mirror settings.
  14. Yes, this is correct. In the vehicle sales info it will say that Skoda Connect service is free for first year.
