Well all parts for service purchased from vw pulman today and i got 10% discount as i got my mk5 from there . parts not for the golf but as it was a friday i tried my luck and andy on parts gave me the discount , cheers . total cost £95 for 5 l fully sythetic ,oilfilter,air filter,fuel filter and pollen filter.will crack on tomorrow and post some pics oh and i'll be dropping it out of the sump plug nice and hot

Does anyone have any pics of where the pollen filter is located on 1.4 tdi and how to change the diesel filter . about to service my mams 07 fabia and to be honest havn't looked under the bonnet yet. i want to change the above ^^ and also the oil and oil/air filters . any recomendations of oil? what will i need to remove the sump plug and is it worth getting some new retainers for the sump / inspection cover. any help will be much appreciated. also pattern or dealer filters? john

the vrs does seem to take forever to warm up especially in this weather,i think between 40-47 mpg is an accurate guide.

When i did mine i took the wheel off and used a dremmel with a de burring bit and shaved a bit off then tried to fit then shaved some more until i got there,soaking the rubber mud flap in warm water helps too as mentioned above

Personal choice with the pump, for the cost i would get it done as a safegard -

That sounds about right mate mine was 355 pounds from vw dealer at the old vat rate.for timing belt water pump and coolant -
Flashing glow plug warning light - Should I worry?

This happened to mine after braking hard stopped doing it after a while and not at all now ,my coolant level light comes on also when its proper cold in the morning but run the car for 5 mins turn off and re-start it goes away ,this along with the washer fluid level and fuel level warnings is just another f'#$king beep -
Have you noticed any increase in mpg .

Looks proper mean that... whats next in the pipeline? Looks quite race without centre caps think you should go for stripped interior roll cage and bucket seats proper light weight blaster

Car looks as cold as the weather!!! Like what you have done with the dash, what sort of stuff did you use? also like the light film and lowered suspension, any plans for the wheels?

Was on a car graphics site was looking for a black stripe for my classic red beetle ,they do the livery for some of the gumball cars:)
