hi Phil Yes at the same engine speed no matter which gear I am in

2006 1.9 tdi, I have a vibration that starts at 1800 revs, gets worse the more revs until 4000 revs then disappears & runs smooth I have had wheels balanced, fitted new engine mounts, new clutch, switched wheels back to front, any ideas would be appreciated

I am having similar problems to this, 1.9tdi, it felt like engine was running on three cylinders at certain revs/speed I had engine checked out on computer no faults showing, when accelerating hard no problems but at around 60mph/1500/2000revs a slight judder at 70mph severe judder, dip the clutch smooth vibration stops, I am going to check all points mentioned above & will report back

Mike engine was running rough before filter change, when I have a chance will check EGR & breather pipes, thanks for suggestions I will report back findings

thanks for replies, I changed fuel filter so I will now clean my EGR & see how it goes from there

My 1.9tdi has recently started to hesitate feeling almost like a misfire on a petrol engine, it occurs at between 1500 to 2200 revs at around 50/60mph mainly when driving on light throttle & gets slightly worse when accelerating away from those revs, if I drive the car hard taking revs up to say 4500revs through the gears there are no issues, car is 06 with 104000mls any help appreciated

driving home last night luckily only few hundred yards from home there was an almighty bang from the nearside of the car and a rattle & grinding noise knocked it out of gear & rolled downhill to home, on looking underneath oil was pouring out quickly put a bowl under to catch oil, on examination the diff casing is totally shattered what caused this I have no idea but a replacement gearbox is needed, the code for box is JCV is this the only box that will fit my car? or will other codes from same year fit, this is third Octavia I have owned & first ever problem, mileage on this car is 108000 my two previous octavias had covered over 160000 when I sold them

We have all read the posts on here regarding BXE conrod failures, what about some positives, my 2006 Octavia BXE has 95000mls on the clock & my fathers 2006 Octavia BXE has 167000mls on the clock, any more out there??

Advice please, i have owned three Octavia 1.9 tdi pleased with all of them, recently bought 06 estate but SWMBO says its to big for her, looking for a Fabia estate, as we only do around 5000mls a year mainly short runs, not really bothered what fuel, the only thing is i tow a trailer once a month about 350 kgs in weight, 160ml round trip, with such a choice of engines not sure what would suit us the best we have around £5500 to spend, any advice appreciated

Having previously owned two Mk 1 Octavias in which i could drive for hours in comfort i am really dissapointed with the seat in my 06 1.9 tdi Estate, no matter how i adjust them i cannot seem to get comfortable. Is it possible to fit Mk 1 seats or VRS leather seats, are there any issues removing seats regarding the airbags or any suggestions as to what i could try? thanks

How do i go about changing diesel filter? my previous Skoda had a canister type filter, looking at the filter on this car (06 tdi) is it just an element needs replacing thanks

Recently bought an 06 Octavia 1.9 tdi estate, it is fitted with 205/60/15 but on the fuel filler flap when checking for tyre pressures it also states tyre sizes, 195/55/15, 195/65/15, can any of these sizes be used on same axle or will speedo read way out thanks
