I'm thinking of looking for a 10-12 plate Octavia Hatch to use as an everyday car and bike carrying duties. I don't do enough mileage to go for a diesel so looking at petrols. Which is the better engine out of the 1.2 or 1.4 TSI models?. I think the 1.4 is about 20bhp more?. Is one more reliable than the other or are they very similar?. There doesn't seem to be a lot of 1.2's for sale!. SE spec is probably what I'm looking at for my budget.

I have a brand new unused Citigo 14" steel spare wheel and 165/70-14 tyre, also the jack and toolkit to fit in the wheel. Brand new unused. £80 Collection from Hemel Hempstead or Portsmouth. I may consider packing up for courier at cost.

Good choice of springs..what's the ride like?

I have some Fiamma leveling ramps from when I had my VW camper, I use these to drive on to gain some extra jacking clearance. I also got one of these recently, pretty low clearance. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-ctj1250ab-1-25-tonne-aluminium-racing-j

7J rim with ET35 would probably be a good starting point

tweenster's Citigo Monte Carlo - it's very red!
chris c replied to tweenster's topic in Škoda Citigo
Not all coilovers are mega firm. The problem is most people fit coilovers to go mega low these days. When they are wound down really low they are going to be hard. Nobody makes a decent coilover for the Citigo, if you could get one and drop the car say 40mm I reckon it would be an acceptable ride and look good I have Bilstein coilovers on my van which were not cheap, and although firm it's acceptable on all but poor roads. I wouldn't however fancy running a Citigo slammed on FK coilies!! -
I remember really wanting a Lupo GTI back in 2001

If I had kept my Sport I was going to fit 16x7 Team Dynamics Pro 1.2's in black. I think they would be lighter than the Skoda Serpens 16's. The spitter on the Sport/Monte is just stuck to the same bumper all Citigo's have, so they all have that little flap underneath which catches first on humps. My Mini has the same sort of thing, it's fairly scuffed up!!
