Looking for some advice. Picked up a 245 edition two weeks ago and loving it. My question is with the larger 340mm front brakes what do people run for a winter setup? My thoughts were switching to 18s as winter tyres in 225/35R19 or 235/35R19 seem to be limited in range. I also still have some 225/40R18 tyres left from my MK2 VRS. Thanks in advance!

Thinking of buying a Thule Motion XT large or XL roof box for the Octavia (hatch model). Anyone have either of these roof boxes? I can find some pictures online of the estate model but not the hatch. I'm worried the XL might be too long TIA Phil

Hi, Car is a 2011 CR 170 VRS. Over the last couple of weeks I've had issues with the rear demister, heated seats and climatronic not working as they should. Rear demister sometimes works - other times the buttons flashes. Heated seats sometimes work - buttons/leds indicate they are on but they fail to heat up. Other times they work as they should. Climatronic sometimes switches off and will only switch back on if Max(windscreen) is pressed. The car also idles slightly higher than normal occasionally. I've had my mate who is an AA technician look at it and it appears the ECU is detecting error 038B energy management active. We've checked the battery and it's good. Tested on another brand new battery and reset the error code only for it to come back. The Alternator has been tested and is outputting 14.2v Anybody with any suggestions?

Had the front N/S wheel bearing replaced under warranty and now the steering wheel seems slightly off centre going in a straight line. Should the dealer have carried out an alignment/tracking check after fitting a new wheel bearing? Thanks in advance Phil

Yip the more I look into the new Octy VRS the more it puts me off trading in my FL VRS :think: EDIT : I didn't think the power tailgate was listed as an option for the VRS....

Any pictures of how the car sits now?

I've got a full set of THS Performance engine mounts on my tuned MK4 Golf TDI. No loss of comfort or signs of vibrations compared to the powerflex mounts I had previously. I'd stay away from poly bushes from my experience.
