Hi, I have a similar issue with my 2014 2.0 petrol 6 speed manual and we ended up replacing the clutch feed pipe. Back in March I was driving back home and lost the clutch and needed to pull it back up. It was then fine for a couple of weeks, then happened again. I spoke with my trusted mechanic who owns a vRS himself. In researching it seems it could end up being a bit of parts cannon, so he found a thread on here saying the clutch feed pipe fixed the issue. We decide to start there and it seems to have fixed the issue. This was done at the start of May and 1.5k later of mostly town driving the issue hasn't come back.

What brand of petrol do you use for your Octavia MKIII?
Fez replied to decebal's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I tend to use supermarket fuel and then add Millers Petrol additive to it. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/fuel-oil-additives/millers-petrol-power-ecomax-500ml I started using the diesel version on my previous VRS and when I changed to petrol thought I would carry on, whether it does any good or not. -
Steering wheel vibration at 125-135 km/h while accelerating
Fez replied to giggs's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I asked advice from the chap who does my wheel alignment a few months back and they gave the underside a quick check. He came back with either Wheel balancing or Transmission issues, so CV joints could be a possible cause. I guess it needs a trip to the garage -

Interesting to know as my car been having the same issue since I had new front and rear brake pads installed. Mine had around 65K Miles when it started. Can you check them yourself, I guess you're checking for movement? Many Thanks Paul -
Yes I felt for you, as I was leaving they were still reporting 5 mile jams

Thanks Gary, I have been meaning to get my wheels done for a while and having somewhere so close would be great.

Thanks to Lee for organising the barbecue and everyone for attending. Lovely to meet everyone and next time when I say goodbye, I'll try to make it a little louder

I should see you all tonight, it looks like a lovely day.

I have read reports about the closed road but as it doesn't seem to affect me. I'll be around, see you lot tonight.

Yes it was a little wet and windy on the way back, but got home safely in the end. Lee, Did you say Sam knew a good alloy place? as I think Ben interested in getting his alloys done as well

My Samsung S3 is ignoring Email sync setting since upgrade to 4.3
Fez replied to Fez's topic in The Technology Shed
Gadgetman, Yes, sorry it's the Samsung email app. J306TD, Yes I sort of agree, I'm not sure what improvements the upgrade has made. Does anyone know? A little update: I ended up deleting the account off the phone and reapplying it, which seems to have done the job. I will find out for sure later. -
Hi All, I wonder if anyone else has experienced email issues since upgrading to Jelly bean(?) 4.3 on their android phones? I upgrade last week and ever since my inbox and junk box has been alerting me of every email using as they come in. I have been into the setting > Account setting > click on email address > Sync setting > Sync schedule > set to every five minutes for the main box. For junk folder: Setting > Account setting > click on email address > more settings > folder sync setting > junk > set to four hours. Has anyone else experience this issue and if so what did you do to solve it? Thanks for any help Paul

Add me to the list. Anyone know of some good Alloys refurb places around the area?

Add me to the list. Sorry it's a bit late but I didn't know what I was doing.
