  1. I had the same problem and continued for about two months with the EPC light coming on intermittantly. After a while i took it to the Skoda garage where they replaced the engine coolant temp sensor.
  2. I had the same problem and continued for about two months with the EPC light coming on intermittantly. After a while i took it to the Skoda garage where they replaced the engine coolant temp sensor. The car is still under warranty at £12K miles and not two years yet !! Back windscreen wipe also failed and was fixed. I never get a light to come on and tell me i have no washer fluid left, only know when none comes out..... :-(
  3. Thanks for your reply Ken. He was in the right hand lane waiting to enter the roundabout, and i was in the left lane, he was taking the first exit and i was taking the second exit. I assumed he was either taking the same exit as me or going around the roundabout to a exit beyond me, hence that's why he was in that lane. The left lane was empty and that is why i went into it. I think he knows he was at fault, ie no indication and in the wrong lane and that is why he is offering to pay or not go through insurance. Surely that is a sign of liability or is he hoping we go 50/50 on this one. I am now a bit wary of this affecting my chances of selling my car at a later date as insurances do record that the car has been in an accident, albeit, the damages is a dented passenger door.
  4. Hi I have just been hit by a 4x4 Freelander car, while on a roundabout. The geezer was in the wrong lane and then decided to take a left exit from the roundabout while i was in the left lane, taking the next exit. He dented my beautiful brand new (3 months) old Fabia. I was pretty traumised as i have never been in an accident and was quite upset afterwards. He claimed it was my fault as he said he was entitled to leave that exit (even though he was in the right lane approaching the roundabout!) and he says he was indicating left (which he wasn't!). He gave me his insurance details, but before departing he asked me to get a quote first and he will settle up before going to insurance. Is this wise or am i better going through his insurance ? Someone has told me it will also bump up my insurance, although i am completely faultless. Soles
  5. Hi guys Felt drawn to this site as i've just purchased my first Skoda (well documents still to be signed etc), so feel like i need a bit of encouragement as it's my first ever car that i have ever purchased, believe it or not ? Acquired one from my dad VW polo and my last car was a Volvo from my ex-partner who moved to the USA. I done the old 0% APR which i'm chuffed to bits about (purchased a Skoda Fabia). I used to be a VW enthusiast but now have converted as Skoda have the VW engines and are much cheaper at the cost and i believe better quality now. Fabia due for delivery at the end of June, so very excited about it. I actually passed my test in a Skoda when i was 19 some 27 years ago, so it's quite fitting that it is my first officially purchased car. Can you give me some indication what i'm looking forward to with the car ? Would appreciate some advice, for a newbie. Thanks guys SoleS:cool:
