  1. That’s better than mine - ordered an Octavia Estate iV mid November 2021 with a 7 month wait. Now told it’s scheduled for a build in week 37, so likely to be best part of 2 year wait 🤔
  2. Just to keep in the thread I thought I’d update (or lack of update should I say?) - ordered an iV Octavia Estate a week into November 2021 and not even a delivery date as yet! Absolutely base spec and colour, so no options to drag it 🤷‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
  3. Some of these posts are making pretty grim reading - I ordered an Octavia Estate iV on November 12th via leasing company and was given a 30 week wait. Into week 38 now and no word - can I assume I’m looking at maybe a 13 or 14 month wait in total? 🤷‍♂️🤔
  4. Ordered an iV estate phev last week and they’re saying 30 weeks 🤔
  5. I got a quote for a new Octavia Estate iV on Wednesday/Thursday last week from a leasing company. Subsequently hear from the company I’m currently with that Skoda have pulled the deals available to them from Thursday night. Check with company who quoted me and they say they have had it confirmed that all quotes given before the deals were pulled would be honoured. They called back today to tell me that this turns out not to be the case and that with the new prices, the difference per month will be £160+ 😳 Currently speaking to Skoda UK on Twitter messenger to see if I can’t appeal to their better nature and get them to honour original quote 🙏
  6. Update with good news - fault was found as a dodgy wire to module. All wires had been checked with meter, but when checked again using a bulb, it turned out one wire (which was reading 11.6 volts) could hardly light the bulb, so once the wire was replaced all was well 👏
  7. Thanks - I’ll pass that on, although I suspect that’s not the case, as another fault caused the guys to check every fuse individually not long back 🤔
  8. The engine management light was showing when I bought the car 3+ years back. It has been on sorn for a wee while now but basically when the MOT criteria changed so that it wouldn't pass without this sorted. Everything else on the car sorted, so just this holding it back - I'm told when they reset the fault today after the new module was fitted, that it cleared but reappeared after being stopped and started twice 😲
  9. I'm saying I, although I really mean a retired friend of my father in law's. I'll update that as soon as I can find out thanks 😊
  10. Nearing the end of the road with my Fabia - engine management light still showing, so I can't put it for MOT yet. Reader is showing a fault on glowplug system, yet despite new glowplugs and today a new glowplug module, I can clear the fault but after two start/stops it appears again and the engine management light reappears! Anyone have experience with this? It's a 2008 (08) Fabia 1.4TDi Greenline - any suggestions welcomed!!
  11. My Fabia’s door latch has been problematic for some time and needs replacing. I’m not very knacky handed but have been trying to remove it to identify part number to get it sorted. I have it nearly out, but it’s just hanging on by the top wire that fixes into the door handle now. Any tips on how to get this out please?
  12. Gordon Muir at Defined Details would absolutely be my only recommendation in that area. One of the finest you’ll find anywhere
