Just thought I would say hello again I even though technically I've never been away as I've been browsing as a non-Skoda owner. Originally had a MK1 Octavia VRS up until 2008, but then got rid for a boring (Compared to a the Skoda) Astra. However, after ordering early October, finally picked up Race Blue Octavia VRS today, and smile has not yet left my face, even though I've still not had it above 40mph yet.

Now I know this sounds sad, but the local supermarket were selling off tapes @ 45p each. So I though why not. Put tape in and all OK. However, when tried to eject the tape it basically wouldn't. Pressed the eject button and it tried but jammed. Had to force it out with a knife. Anyone else had this problem?? And if so was it a new unit required??

My speakers are also exposed on a 54 Octy vRS - No sign of any carpet.

Exactly the same here on my Octy vRS. Temp. when got in car was 3.5C and snowflake came on display. However, did read in earlier posts that it only makes noise if start with temp. above certain limit and then it drops down.

Yes the vRS definately does have the red seat belt man and the 6 beeps if you fail to put you're seat belt on. Although I should have looked at the forum first (This is on an Octy vRS)

Doesn't help much but EPC light on mine goes out after a couple of seconds even without the engine been swithced on.

Purchased new Silver Octy vRS with parking sensors and cruise control. Only 2 weeks from order to picking up last Friday (17/09) - and the options were factory fitted as well. Obviously taking it easy but so far well impressed with everything Still can't get my head around the Climate Control and Cruise Control no matter how many times I read the manual...Still I'll get there, but any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated. Found this site extremely useful, so everyone keep up the good work!!
