  1. Haha. Yes that makes sense. I will give that a go. Cheers.
  2. Nice one. Thanks for posting that.I did some logging on torque app but I think I need to redo it in 3rd or 4th gear to get a more accurate reading and then plot it on a graph as you have . Are you pleased with the shark map? Looks quite smooth. Also is a standard tfsi about 10 psi max?
  3. Thanks for your reply Markyg82, what you say makes sense with regards to the max boost level coming on soon as possible and also the bogging down. When you say "back off and it'll give it some more" do you mean back off the throttle and reapply it? Also the flat spot issue first thing in the morning seems like more than a calibration, as the car seems to barely accelerate even with a small amount of throttle. At this same time the exhaust strangely appears louder... This only happens for max 30 seconds driving though then it feels like you've been driving with the handbrake on and just released it.
  4. I had a stage 1 generic map put on to my 2008 tfsi a few weeks ago. (71k miles, pipercross panel and no other mods.) sometimes it feels really quick and other times just adequate. I've carried out a few logs on the Torque App. It appears that I'm getting a peak boost pressure of 21 psi, quickly dropping to around 15 to 17 this fluctuates depending on which gear I'm in. Does this sound right? I also seem to have an issue where once I start the car for the first time in the morning and immediately drive it it feels like it's holding back (almost like the brakes are being held on) then it suddenly goes, holds back maybe once or twice more and then it's fine for the rest of the day. Any ideas.? Thanks in advance.
  5. Nice one. I like this idea. They sell those fuse holders on amazon and I have some credit from a gift card. They are 20amp but presumably the wiring is same just need to swap the fuse for a 5 amp? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for all the info. All really helpful! The power magic pro looks like a good bit of kit. Is the piggy back fuse holder a safe way of wiring it up?
  7. Festive greetings! I received a Nextbase Dashcam for Christmas and fitted it into the car tonight finally. Ive just noticed that the power outlet has a constant live to it, meaning Id have to unplug the power plug every time I leave the car. Is there any way around this? Cheers , Dan
  8. This happened on mine. I ended buying a new level sensor as the metal arm was all part of the unit. Cost about 100 quid. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  9. Maybe they meant to lean? Although as its a diesel that would be odd? The only reason I can think of for not testing emissions is when the exhaust is blowing/holed .
  10. As promised. Will look better when I get round to cleaning car. (once half term is over!)
  11. I'll try to get some pictures up in next few days. Car is filthy though!
  12. Willy2039 you are correct. There are clips up the side. That's why I couldn't get it to stay put before. All done now. Thanks for your help. ☺
  13. Are there clips in the bottom to? I thought it was just stuck in?
  14. Last question. Had the grille sprayed. Went to fit it and the bottom part won't stay attached. I tried some number plate stickers to hold it in place but keeps popping out at the bottom edges. Any ideas.?
