ok so new turbo fitted anyway as old one had imploded but need new balane shaft the only problem is i cannot find any info on the timing when refitting the the pump unit , this was not timed last time due to lack of info. If anyone knows of the process to time it please it would be massively appreciated .

so after giving it ago ive managed to get the new drive key into the balance shaft and put back together. Now 2 days on the oil pressure light is back on and its used a litre of oil which all seems to have exited via the exhaust , ive had a look and the turbo is as slack as the preverbial , would this bring on the pressure light if it needs a new turbo ?

ok so i got the dreaded oil pressure light at 111000 miles the car travelled a fair distance after ( i wasnt driving it at time ) but having a look the turbo seems fine and oil in top of engine ive changed the oil and filter ( the oil was like water in the filter) im goona get new pump spline tomorow and hope its failing and caught it rather than failed or maybe could just be a sensor fail . has anyone else had anything like this ?

when driving about in higher gears i seem to get a strange noise which i first thout to be a wheel bearing but cannot pin point the noise , also a wheel bearing is a constant drone where as this is a wub wub wub noise and isnt speed dependant but does get louder . admittedly my rear dampers are shot and wearing the inside edges of the tyres but not in a saw tooth pattern and would say the noise is front of car .

im looking to upgrade my oem sat nav in my superb one as tbh its a faff to use and not very lets say informative . Does anybody have any ideas what i should look for i need sat nav again and possibly DAB . any ideas would be grateful thanks

both the passat and superb are 2006 (the passat is now dead)

i have a 2006 2.0 tdi but ive noticed the engine is quite loud compared to my passat 2.0 tdi and makes like a wheel bearing whining noise when in motion , it could be a wheel bearing lol but sounds like the middle of the car maybe gearbox ?

why whats up with the 6 speed box ? as mine is making a whining noise (the car) so just assumed it needs a wheel bearing and engine tics over very loud ...and sounds a bit rough but the vag lumps have never been the quietest of lumps

ive had the passat 2.0 tdi until last week so engine wise i know about them ive owned a 1.9 130 superb before but this car was an absolute steal but not 100% on the 2.0 tdi superb mine is a bit of a frankenstien i think as its mark 1 superb green clocks mirrors etc but 6 speed box and 2.0 engine

ok so ive tried battery and all seems fine ,my drivers door handle is a little stiff and the light doesnt work so i wonder if the last owner has forgotten to re connect everything properly

Hi people after a long time away im back to being a superb owner (thank god) ive just bought an 06 2.0 tdi elegance which im very happy with apart from one thing the folding mirrors and mirror adjust does'nt work the fuse seems ok just wondered if anyone had come across this before and how ity can be fixed ?.

a friend owns a 2005 v6 with a couple of probs first major one is in last couple of days oil has appeared all over engine round oil filter removed and replaced o ring was missing was deffo there last time as i replaced and did service so put new one in and after 5 mins oil leaking from filter again (weakest point) o ring but cannot remove top until engine stopped ( i know shouldnt but was just trying to loosen slightly to make sure o ring seated ) but as soon as engine off undoes easily . second is front left fuel pipe to top of injector has slight leak is it a case of changing seals

ive not been on here for a while so hello again . A friend has a 2.0 fsi 05 reg with 114000 on clock it just developed a missfire on cylimder 4 codes 16684 and 16688 changed spark plugs and swapped coil packs over plugs 1 and 4 looked damp this didnt cure the problem but noticed water level low and water vapour all over floor under exhaust could this me head gasket blown causing these problems or just an electrical problem.
