  1. I don't have ODBeleven but I know that it has plenty of features and it should have the option to reset and relearn. This could be one of those sections where you need to pay a little extra to unlock that mode. Perhaps other ODBeleven users can assist here. Either way, if you've had that error pop up you might need to get the radar adjusted back before kicking off the relearning phase. Was there any physical damage?
  2. I've realised you do need a long drive of several miles for the settings to fully calibrate so I've ended up with these values: Fingers crossed this will not creep up to the +/- 0.80 value which appears to be the threshold max.
  3. PS: for my OCD, please could a couple of people post pictures of their radar and how it looks in the housing? I would like to check to ensure I've got the vertical alignment correct too now I think its horizontally aligned. Mine could be pointing up slightly but not sure if this is by design. Thanks in advance!
  4. As a point of reference this is from the VW Sharan so interesting to see that the values do not need to be bang on 0.00 degrees.
  5. I've performed the calibration and possibly some good news.... After a bit of a drive the values did creep up a bit but I do not know if this is normal over a period of time. They have reached -0.03 for the misalignment angle and the fast algorithms has reached -0.06. I will have to keep a watch. Thus far no 'Front Assist Unavailable' warning. For the benefit others, I've spoken to Dunns Automotive Ltd, Unit 11 South Point, Ensign Way, Hamble-le-Rice, Southampton SO31 4RF. They seem very switched on and professional about a ADAS recalibration should I need this. It was at the time of writing this post £180 all in. If my fault returns I will book in here. Now it is grill repair/replacement time since that is one ugly gap!
  6. Thanks, yea the mounting plate looks good thankfully. I did manipulate it back to be more square since it looked a little like it was pointing to the offside. The plastic pins all look in tact so I think the metal bracket was slightly bent by the Pheasants head on impact. I've noticed in VCDS there is an option in module 13 called 'Reset Misaligned Angle'. Anyone had any experience of this please?
  7. Hello all, Can anyone recommend a good place to have the ADAS alignment done in Southampton? A Pheasant decided to headbutt the front grill and looks to have moved the Radar module out of alignment according to VCDS. 1 Fault Found: 1540 - Sensor for Automatic Distance Regulation; Incorrectly Positioned C1103 00 [00001001] - - [FAULT_MISALIGNMENT_HORIZONTAL] Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Cheers!
  8. A random one but something I've often thought about. You could try setting the climate/HVAC to windscreen only, removing the pollen filter and then sealing up all the gaps around the box to create a vacuum and use a powerful cleaner to suck it out.
  9. Yea my noise has not changed since I bought the Octavia in 2017. It seems by design for sure.
  10. I think you will need to take off the inner wheel arch lining to gain correct access. Here are some pictures.
  11. This is how mine behaves for reference. https://youtu.be/_kTnESvwfhE
  12. It's been covered a few times actually in the past and it can be louder on some cars. For instance its much louder on our Octavia than our VW Sharan. It is down to the oil pressure being increased after a long standing period of the engine being off.
  13. Yup this is normal. Both our cars with the 1.4 TSi 140/150 engine do this on cold startup. The noise does not happen after a short period of standing, only say over night.
  14. On mine with the factory camera, that left section is slightly transparent but actually only stays on for a second or so and then slides to the left out of the way showing the full camera view. I don't think there is a setting but there could be that controls this if you dive into the settings menu. Edit: picture of what mine looks like.
  15. Just as a follow up - pump replaced by the local indi VAG garage so fingers crossed tis all good. The old one looks pretty hideous - car has 35k on it and it looks like its been leaking for a while! Classic was correct, leaking from the impeller seal.
